20 kilometers of Venezuelan plains through the highway

Today I will share with you one of the longest trips I have made in my car so far. A week ago I traveled to the city of Barinas which is about 400 kilometers from the city where I live and in this trip I traveled through different geographies, but the one that prevailed in the panorama was the plains geography since I had to cross at least 250 kilometers of plains through the General José Antonio Páez highway, which starts in the state of Cojedes leaving the city of San Carlos and ends in the state of Barinas entering the capital of the aforementioned state.

In the video you will see a route that I recorded almost 20 kilometers from the outskirts of the city of Guanare to the border toll between the state of Portuguesa and Barinas state. The highway crosses much of the heart of the Venezuelan plains showing its beauty and hostile climate, although the sky seemed to be cloudy, it was quite hot which came off from the asphalt of the road and generated a thermal sensation of intense heat which we could reduce with the air conditioning.

In the photos you will notice that the highway is quite wide and not very busy, which allows the ride to be fluid and with few elements that require slowing down, so the trip in that stretch was quiet and to some extent boring.

At times it seems that the highway has no end and probably that is because of how inhospitable it looks in front of the steering wheel, there are not many distributors throughout its route so in that sense there are few deviations, but what we must recognize is that it is in very good condition and that is appreciated.

The route that I recorded ended at the border toll where the state of Portuguesa ends, there is a small town called Boconoíto which is ideal for a stop to have a drink and rest from the long trip, but we decided to move on to our destination. I hope you enjoyed the trip, a big hug to all of you.
