When I was a kid I started watching wrestling in 2003 and at that time I used to love Undertaker, Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, and many wrestlers. My favorite wrestler till date is Goldberg, but today I am here to talk about one of the most prominent figures in the wrestling industry named Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan passed away on 24th July 2025 and it is a big loss for the wrestling industry. I was wanting to write something about this topic and I was not able to find a relatable community and I think WOO is one of the communities I can share my thoughts and feelings about the passing away of legendary Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan started wrestling back in 1977, maybe even before when my father was born, and he became part of the WWF in 1983, after which the wrestling changed altogether. I remember that his prime time was known as Hulkamania, that is the time between 1980 and 1990. Obviously I was not even born by that time, but as I grew up and I was older, I came to know about Hulk Hogan even more.
There was a time when I started loving John Cena for his character and for obviously the in-game talent he has, and that is when I got to know that John Cena is the modern version of Hulk Hogan. So you can imagine, if you are a John Cena fan, that how Hulk Hogan was for his time.
Just like if you are from present time, you might be loving Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns, they are the version of John Cena of present time, and John Cena was the version of Hulk Hogan at his time. So yes, it is a big loss that we have lost such a legendary wrestler. He actually died of heart attack, and what else can I say?
He is one of the few wrestlers who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. Once in 2005 as an individual and also in 2020 where I watched it happening live and there he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the New World Order group which was famous at his time.
He is also a 12 time world champion and he has won multiple WWF and WWE championships and one of the most famous achievement Hulk Hogan made was headlining Wrestlemania, the initial Wrestlemania, the maximum of them. He headlined eight Wrestlemania out of the first nine Wrestlemania so that is a big thing.
While he has gone and left us with his memories, I only want to send consolation to his family and I hope they will move on from this loss they are facing. And for the wrestling fan, maybe you can write about Hulk Hogan in the comment section what was the match you liked the most.
I think as I am a fan of Goldberg, I liked Goldberg vs Hulk Hogan, I liked Sting vs Hulk Hogan, and yes these were few matches I liked. And though I have not seen them live obviously as I was not even born at that time, but I have watched them later.
