Hello everyone, a greeting to this #topfamily community.
The photo I bring you on this occasion for the Thursday TBT contest is from just four years ago; however, when I try to look back at that precise moment, it feels like an eternity has passed.
The first time I saw @neuropoeta (Yadira Troche Nerey) was in the Ateneo Vietnam bookstore, located in República, Camagüey.
Although we had been conversing virtually via WhatsApp for several months, as we were both members of a Camagüeyan literary group, we hadn't had the opportunity to meet in person.
I knew she was a doctor and a talented poet, and from her stylized way of speaking, I had come up with the completely wrong idea that she was a distant and elitist woman.
That afternoon, at 2 PM, there was a meeting with all the writers in the group. I only knew Linnet Molina and left my house hoping she would be there when I arrived. But that was not the case. Linnecita, as was the custom, arrived just when the meeting was about to begin.
So when I entered the place, half-blind from the glare, I tried to adjust my sight as quickly as possible to get my bearings. There, in one of the large armchairs, was @neuropoeta.
— Are you Yura? — he asked with a smile and got up to greet me.
That afternoon, unsuspecting, just as the clock struck 2, in the Ateneo Vietnam Bookstore, I embraced for the first time what would be, until today, one of my great friends.
And as I remember it, I feel a bit nostalgic, but I focus to summarize and conclude my presentation today. For the multitude of things we experienced after that meeting would not fit in a single post.
