CrystalWing
As I mentioned in the last post I'll be introducing a bunch of dragons and each will have their own Hive account to keep everything separate. The dragon battling mechanics are still a few weeks off but I'd like to introduce dragons little by little so you know the roster.
The delegator dragons have already delegated their HP and are awaiting the delegation rewards so they can start powering up. The namegiver dragon (hiveabbyftp) is awaiting RC to build up so more dragons can be given names. But you still haven't met CrystalWing which will be the holder of funds designated for giving and helping.
Giving as a fundamental of the community
Now when I started this account with 0 HP it was quite a grind to get started. Maybe enough resource credits to post a few times a week on Actifit but really so very limited. At the time the Gift Giver Faucet really helped to build up my HP dust so I could actually make some posts.
Bad news though. When I go to that site now?
It is no longer a site which helps out newbies on HIVE. Now I do know that there are communities that delegate RC to new users to get them started. However, for those like myself who started without the help of a community it would be nice to know there is a place they can go to start off.
Crystalwing's first mission
Once I get back to my real home and I'm not in the bush with unreliable internet I'll see if I can't get a faucet going. Crystalwing does have a bunch of HP already and the account is verifiable at @crystalwing.gld
As you can see there is 532 HP delegated and it is going to @leo.voter so leo tokens can be brought in and exchanged for liquid HIVE to fund the faucet.
Of course a faucet only gives tiny drips of HP but when brand new every little bit can be useful.
Funding CrystalWing
Making sure that CrystalWing grows over time is important to me. In that regard I'll be funneling a portion of income from other dragon returns to strengthen the charitable account over time. Goal? 10% of returns going to Crystalwing.
Future Plans
Of course the faucet is just the beginning. It is an easy and tangible way I can give to new users and do a little bit of onboarding support. I'll post a link when things are ready, for now I'm building a little pile of HP to give away.
IF things go well and the community funds Crystalwing well? Well, there are always good projects to donate to and I'd love to hear from the community as to where funds should be given to help others.
And this time I'm just going to tag a couple of people @dlmmqb for his advice on making a faucet, @monica-ene and @rare-gem on their thoughts on other ways I could help out others either on the HIVE community or in real life.
