I am actually grateful that the question was asked; it caused me to realise that I have almost never paid attention to so many things. In as much as I responded by asking what kind of question that was, I knew that I did not have an answer to his question. Not just his question, but so many other things about my lifestyle. I never told him, but he made me realise that I was not doing a lot of things right.
I began by paying attention to the music I listen to; that led to me organising different playlists for different times, but it was certainly the beginning. To my brother, it was just a mere question; a question that was probably born from the fact that he is never a lover of the kind of music I usually play. But to me, it was more. I got to realise that what inspires the music I listen to is not the only question I lack answers to; there are a lot more, and that for me was the problem.
Before then, I was this kind of young man that paid attention to literally nothing. I would just wake up in the morning, go about and do what I could; there was practically no plan. This very fact had made every one of my achievements come by chance; I never planned any of them. I guess I was saved by the fact that I am naturally talented.
I was, at that time, a technician who went from home to home to make minor repairs on demand. I also had a little workshop very close to our house; a place where people usually brought me their damaged appliances for repair. With time, I began having people ask me if I could wire their newly built houses; not only did I say yes to that, I executed the tasks perfectly. The fact that I could do all these things is amazing, but never having undergone any proper training before acquiring the knowledge is even more amazing. I was only able to pick up some of this knowledge by following friends who were already in the system to installation sites.
Though I am a talented young man, I do not have a plan for the future. I literally lack answers to every question concerning my life. My first decision was to join a solar company, given my already existing experience in electrical installation; they could not resist my application. I also, for the first time, decided that I would be furthering my education; with respect to that, I will be sitting my JAMB exams in a few days. As it stands now, I have grown into a young man who visualises himself at a particular level in years to come. I now have answers to so many questions, and most importantly, I now have a vision.
Thank you so much guys for reading upto the end...
