This verse doesn't speak of material poverty or money. Jesus Christ is never saying, "How lucky are those who have no money." This text has nothing to do with that.
When He speaks of poverty of spirit, He is speaking of those who need to recognize their need for God. These are moments when we realize that even with the greatest talents, or great strength, as well as knowledge or success, without the presence of God in our lives, we feel a great emptiness. There, humility is born from the depths of our hearts and expresses the following: "Lord, I need you every day of my life."
Very different from what the world proclaims, which tells us to be self-sufficient and not to depend on anything or anyone, at the same time, Jesus Christ says, "When we recognize that we cannot do it alone, that is where our true wealth begins."
Here we learn very clearly that the kingdom of heaven has little to do with our own merit; it is through surrender, and it is not about how much strength we have, but how much we depend on God.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Éste versículo no habla de pobreza material ni de plata. Jesucristo en ningún momento está diciendo: "que suerte que tienen los que no tienen plata", este texto nada que ver tiene con esto.
Cuándo habla de la pobreza de espíritu está hablando de aquellas personas que necesitan reconocer la necesidad de Dios. Son esos momentos cuando nos damos cuenta que aún teniendo el mejor de los talentos o muchísima fuerza como también conocimiento o éxito sin la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas tenemos un gran vacío. Allí nace esa humildad de lo profundo del corazón y expresa lo siguiente: "Señor, te necesito cada día de mi vida".
Muy diferente a lo que proclama el mundo ya que este nos dice que seamos autosuficientes y que no dependemos de nada ni de nadie, al mismo momento Jesucristo dice: "cuando reconocemos que sólo no podemos ahí comienza nuestra verdadera riqueza".
Aquí aprendemos muy claramente que el reino de los cielos poco tiene que ver con el mérito propio, es por rendición y no se trata de cuanta fuerza tenemos sino de cuánta dependencia tenemos de Dios.
Bienaventurados los pobres en espíritu, porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.
