Honestly, paying to create an account isnt that crazy... the only reason HIVE makes you pay to create accounts is because we have free tx fees, and to create an account on BTC or eth, is just like making a blank number, it doesnt get any tokens untill someone pays a TX fee so there is alays that fee when creating an account on POW chains, keep that in mind... while on DPOS chains you pay once and stake and gt near unlimited transactions for life hive will have to one day start charging cash money to signup too like a "lifetime membership one time fee" because blockchain resources cost money and hive is for profit after all, and wax is DPOS EOSIO just like hive / steem and so its all a very similar system with finite resources where you need to buy some ram to create an account, but it should only cost like 1 wax or so , maybe more as it only costs 1 telos or 1 EOS to create accounts there, and 3 HIVE to create an account on hive, which is around $1 or so... for wax you should be able to just buy some swap.WAX on hive-engine with hive/hbd you earn just talking about WAX and how you need some upvotes to create an account, and create accounts that way if you really need...
