I was sipping a coffee this morning when a sudden thought came to my mind.
“Should we really use AI?” I asked myself. This thought might have come up because it is controversial. Many people believe that using AI can replace different jobs, potentially leaving people unemployed.
We’ve seen the improvement of artificial intelligence, where recently, ChatGPT was revamped to create and produce AI-generated images that are smoother and more realistic.
This update left people amazed, while some were scared and afraid that it could now replace graphic designers. I always see debates online where people are getting mad at those who use AI.
Some even posted videos from an animated show, saying that a four-second video took more than a year to create.
It is frustrating, I know. It is scary for a graphic designer to lose their job because AI can now actually do the work instead of them.
It is scary for programmers to know that anyone can now generate code using AI without proper knowledge about it.
While many have this mindset, I always try to adapt to changes in technology. You can’t stay in traditional ways.
I believe that people who don’t use AI are left behind. I personally use AI as my assistant – I use it as a tool. I call myself a writer, a blogger, and I use AI to help me do my work.
I use it to create outlines, and I use it to edit my posts. Everything is easier now because of AI. Some are scared because they always say that AI will replace writers.
But over time, people learned to adapt by using it as a tool. AI can generate content in just seconds by providing a short prompt. However, it cannot replace the human touch and a personal story that adds to the mood of a blog.
This is why I am not afraid of it. I use it to create an outline and then follow it to produce content. I always put a personal touch on my posts so readers can relate to my content.
I always receive hate comments from anti-AI users saying that I shouldn’t use it – take note, I do not use AI to create content; it helps me edit my posts and generate ideas. I always tell them that they should try to adapt to it; they could grow more with it.
On the other hand, while I am in favor of using AI, it is important to understand that relying on AI for your entire work process can be harmful to your creativity.
I don’t use AI to create content, and I am fully against using it to generate a post. Always use it in moderation and as a tool, not as a replacement for your job.
Regarding the current situation of AI and graphic designers, I cannot fully comment on it as I am not an artist. But I think the new update of ChatGPT can provide more opportunities for those who seek them.
Remember, always learn to adapt, but do not kill your creativity!
