Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Finally this morning I finished the last ceramic vase, the fifth of the series called "Man and Nature". The latter in my opinion is the most interesting and I share the details of the composition of the vase.
The vase is the representation of the concept of the passage from the state of animality of man, to taking a position that is to stand up.
Homer, in the Odyssey tells us that Ulysses, in the midst of the storm unleashed by Poseidon, suddenly stands up from the bottom of the ship and shouts at the gods. Here, this passage of the Odyssey is the key that opens the myth to man's stance towards divine nature, our conscience becomes the capacity for reasoning to face even the most adverse destiny. Man is no longer an animal on all fours, but stands up and faces dangers, animals and gods with strength and sagacity. Personally, I love myths and I believe they provide us with many explanations for our behaviors, habits and fears.

The vase I have finished has a spiral-shaped composition, which follows a chronological trend up to the top.
In the first detail the man is supine and oppressed by a force from above.
In the second detail the man sits and raises his arms to displace this oppression.
The third detail represents the vital energy force that feeds man and the tension it employs to move the oppressive obstacle
In the fourth passage the man is definitively on his feet and is climbing over the flames of animality.
The last passage represents the man who symbolically faces an animal with courage.
After this anthropological digression I leave you the other photographs and sketches of the vases in question.

Un viaggio nel mito con i miei vasi in ceramica.
Bozzetto preparatorio per la decorazione dei vasi.
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Finalmente stamattina ho terminato l'ultimo vaso in ceramica, il quinto della serie chiamata "Uomo e Natura". Quest'ultimo a mio giudizio è il più interessante e condivido i dettagli della composizione del vaso.
Il vaso è la rappresentazione del concetto del passaggio dallo stato di animalità dell'uomo, al "prendere posizione" cioè alzarsi in piedi. Omero, nell'Odissea ci dice che Ulisse, nel pieno della tempesta scatenata da Poseidone, ad un tratto dal fondo della nave si alza in piedi ed urla verso gli dei.
Ecco, questo passaggio dell'Odissea è la chiave che apre nel mito alla presa di posizione dell'uomo nei confronti della natura divina, la nostra coscienza diventa capacità di ragionamento per affrontare il destino anche il più avverso. L'uomo non è più animale a quattro zampe, ma si erge in piedi ed affronta con forza e sagacia i pericoli, gli animali e gli dei. Personalmente amo i miti e ritengo che essi ci forniscono molte spiegazioni ai nostri comportamenti, alle nostre abitudini e alle nostre paure.

Il vaso che ho terminato ha una composzione spiraliforme, che segue un andamento cronologico fino in alto.
Nel primo dettaglio l'uomo è supino ed oppresso da una forza dall'alto.
Nel secondo dettaglio l'uomo si siede e solleva le braccia per spostare questa oppressione.
Il terzo dettaglio rappresenta l'energia vitale forza che alimenta l'uomo e la tensione che impiega per spostare l'ostacolo opprimente.
Nel quarto passaggio l'uomo è definitivamente in piedi e sta scavalcando le fiamme dell'animalità.
L'ultimo passaggio rappresenta l'uomo che simbolicamente affronta con coraggio un animale.
Dopo questa digressione antropologica vi lascio le altre fotografie e i bozzetti dei vasi in questione.
