Gleams of light on the horizon - watercolors on paper
Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. I am back from Pompeii and have been working with my watercolors on a new landscape. I chose an oversized horizontal format to depict my idea of a sunrise over a very wide expanse. I started without drawing because I was clear in my mind what to depict, the light in the landscape. So I depicted an expanse with a small body of water in the center where the sky and light become the protagognists. I played a lot with the colors of the sky with transitions from warm to cold to represent the light of dawn.

Bagliori di luce all'orizzonte - acquarelli su carta
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Sono tornato da Pompei e mi sono messo a lavorare con i miei acquarelli su un nuovo paesaggio. Ho scelto un formato orizzontale fuori misura per raffigurare la mia idea di un'alba su una distesa molto ampia. Sono partito senza disegno perchè avevo ben chiaro nella mia mente cosa rappresentare, la luce nel paesaggio. Così ho raffigurato una distesa con un piccolo specchio d'acqua al centro dove il cielo e la luce diventano i protagognisti. Ho giocato molto con i colori del cielo con passaggi dal caldo al freddo per rappresentare la luce dell'alba.
