At this point, it's probably the 5th time I have watched the Hunter-X-Hunter anime 😅.
This is the kind of story that captivates my imagination. The adventure of a lifetime by entering a world that only the chosen ones are allowed to enter and be a hunter. The word "hunter" alone is already a good selling point for this anime. For me, whenever I see the words warrior, pirate, or hunter in the title of an anime then it's already sold to me. These are the words that will ignite the interest of the viewers.
There are 4 main characters in the story and they are taking the Hunter Exam at the same time and for the first time. They all come from different walks of life and they are destined to meet and be friends because of this hunter exam.
I think this is a great start for an anime that will evoke excitement in any viewer. Usually, an anime story will start with something subtle and mostly about history to build up the story line. However, this particular anime didn't even go through a detailed background about each of the main characters. We just have to learn about them as the story progresses which is a good angle to look at because it only makes the story even more interesting.
I remember watching this anime when I was a kid and it was dubbed in our local language.
Now, I'm watching it on Netflix and it's dubbed in English. It's a bit odd because they don't sound the same compared to how I remembered it to be so I'm still trying to get accustomed to it.
I believe, the original anime was dubbed in Japanese but I'm not a fan of watching a show in a different language and then I'm forced to read the subtitles too; it's not something that I enjoy 😂.
I'm currently on the 3rd episode of season 1 so there's still a lot to recall about the story I may post more about it as I go through the adventures that Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua will have in the story.
In the 2nd episode, they have not met Killua yet but I presume that they will in this 3rd episode as they enter the exam proper.
The first 2 episodes are already entertaining and funny because of the character of Leorio. I know for sure that there are plenty of interesting events in the coming episodes.
The series about the Hunter exam is what I can say is my favorite part of the story. I imagine myself in the shoes of each of them as they reach for their goals in the story.
