As you can see from my account reputation level, I’m new in the platform. Two days ago I received a heavy downvote following the publication of this post on the @NaturalMedicine community.
I would like to point out that the post is 100% original, as you can verify with any online plagiarism checker. It is a scientific post, so obviously it must cite the sources, and I did. The images are also copyright-free and the source is cited correctly.
At first, I did not understand what the reason was and I was confused, because there was no comment explaining the reason for the downvote. So I asked my girlfriend, who has been on Hive since 2019, but she also couldn’t understand it, so we wrote to the admins.
None of the admins responded to us for two days. @plantpoweronhive @amazingdrinks @foodiesunite
Only after checking the previous posts, I realized that they had asked me to publish photos of myself, to verify my identity. There are two problems:

2 Why should I post photos of my face, given that there are people who know me in the real world and have already verified my identity?
I think that one of the riches of the decentralized world is privacy. I did not expect such behavior from one of the largest communities on Hive.
Surely this attitude will alienate many new users who, like me, simply read the rules that are reported and decide to post on NaturalMedicine because it seems like an interesting community.
The worst aspect is that days go by, no one responds, the downvote is still present and I am muted in the community.
So, I ask you, people of Hive: is this behavior correct? Please let me know what you think.

Come potete vedere dal livello di reputazione del mio account, sono nuovo sulla piattaforma. Due giorni fa ho ricevuto un downvote pesante a seguito della pubblicazione di questo post sulla community @NaturalMedicine.
Preciso che il post è 100% originale, come potete verificare con qualsiasi plagiarism checker online. E’ un post scientifico, quindi ovviamente deve riportare le fonti, e l’ho fatto. Anche le immagini sono senza copyright e la fonte è citata correttamente.
All’inizio, non capivo quale fosse il motivo ed ero confuso, perché non c’era nessun commento che spiegasse il motivo del downvote. Allora ho chiesto alla mia fidanzata, che è su Hive dal 2019, ma anche lei non riusciva a capirlo, quindi abbiamo scritto agli admin.

Solo dopo aver controllato anche i precedenti post, mi sono accorto che mi avevano chiesto di pubblicare delle foto di me stesso, per verificare l’identità. I problemi sono due:
1 Questa regola non è menzionata nelle regole della community, che sono:
2 Per quale motivo dovrei pubblicare foto della mia faccia, dato che ci sono persone che mi conoscono nel mondo reale e hanno già verificato la mia identità?
Penso che una ricchezza del mondo decentralizzato sia proprio la privacy. Non mi aspettavo un comportamento simile da una delle community più grandi su Hive.
Sicuramente questo atteggiamento allontanerà molti utenti nuovi che, come me, semplicemente leggono le regole che sono riportate e decidono di pubblicare su NaturalMedicine perché sembra una community interessante.
L’aspetto più grave è che i giorni passano, nessuno risponde, il downvote è ancora presente e sono mutato nella community.
Quindi, chiedo a voi, popolo di Hive: è corretto questo comportamento? Per favore fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate.
