Hi, Hive friends! My family and I got the chance to visit the beach last week so I brought my sketchbook, pencils, erasers, and colored pencils with me.
I didn't need to get several art materials since we brought so many things, especially the children's toys. So, let me enjoy my sketching by the beach.
My Art Materials
My double-head colored pens are inside my bag.
The View
It's time to sketch
I was searching for a subject from this point of view.
I started sketching two hills on the edge of the beach and one countryside house.
I filled up some trees on the hills and three human beings walking near the shore.
The view and the sketch.
Time to color
I colored the hills with yellow-green and the roof of the house with gray.
The seawater using a Blue pastel Stabilo pen. I used an Orange pastel Stabilo pen for the sand.
I added greens to the trees.
Created clouds and skies.
Add some details.
Blue skies and more details on the seawater.
Looks like almost finished.
Added some brown details on the cliff areas.
More photos, the view and the sketch.
And, voila! Here is the result. I added two sets of birds flying above the hills.
Next time, I really want to paint this scenery with gouache.
I really enjoyed doing this sketch despite having cheap art materials.
