It is logical that the largest representative of the predatory reptile, in general, also lives in this country. The predator's name is Cassius. The title of the largest crocodile in the world, Cassius regained in 2013, after the death of his rival Lolong. It was possible to catch a dangerous predator in 1984. It is believed that today he is over 110 years old. Reserve staff even made Cassius a chicken cake for his birthday.

Вважається що сьогодні йому вже понад 110 років. Працівники заповідника навіть приготували Касіусу торт з курей на його День народження.

There is no exact information about the number of its victims, but you can imagine how the attack of a monster weighing 1 ton and 5.5 meters long on a weak river vessel could end.

The crocodile once lived in the wild in one of the Philippine provinces. But suddenly very strange things began to happen in that area. People went missing. At first it was a twelve-year-old girl, and later a local fisherman. It is clear that everyone thought of a bloodthirsty predator, and it was decided to catch him immediately. That's just to deal with an aggressive machine weighing 1000 kg, it's not an easy task. So the process lasted about 3 weeks. Initially, hunters set up giant traps in Lolong's habitats. The crocodile fell into them, but once or twice tore the strongest steel cables. Finally, after many attempts, the reptile was still tied up and caught. It took all night and about a hundred professional hunters. Two years later, Lolong died of cardiac arrest in his cage. By the way, according to the results of the investigation, his involvement in the disappearance of people has not been proven. Today, the remains of a crocodile are stored in the Philippine Museum.

Спочатку мисливці розставляли в місцях проживання Лолонга гігантські пастки. Крокодил потрапляв в них, але на раз-два розривав найміцніші сталеві троси. Нарешті після безлічі спроб, рептилія все-таки була зв'язана і спіймана. На це було потрібно цілу ніч і близько сотні професійних мисливців. Через 2 роки Лолонг помер від зупинки серця в своєму вольєрі. До речі, за результатами розслідування, його причетності до зникнення людей так і не була доведена. Сьогодні залишки крокодила зберігаються у філіппінському музеї.

So one of the animals was never found, and the other had to fall asleep, apparently due to multiple injuries. It became obvious that the presence of a bloodthirsty reptile in the park could no longer be tolerated. Specialists arrived on the territory and for two and a half hours pulled the crocodile out of the bushes. Unfortunately, the predator had to fall asleep, although by and large his guilt in the event was not.

Так що одну з тварин так і не знайшли, а другу довелося приспати, мабуть, через множинні травми. Стало очевидно, що далі терпіти присутність в парку кровожерливої рептилії — не можна. На територію приїхали фахівці, які протягом двох з половиною годин, витягували крокодила з кущів. На жаль, хижака довелося приспати, хоча за великим рахунком його провини в події, не було.
