[PL / ENG] My Actifit Report Card: August 1 2025

Piątek był przecudowny.
Wprawdzie Dzidzia miała swoje momenty wściekłości, ale totalnie ją rozumiem. Okazało się bowiem, że idzie nie jeden ząb, a cztery, na raz! Dlatego bywa wściekła jak osa i rzuca jedzeniem. Po śniadaniu, gdzie Dzidzia zjadła dwa jajka i nic więcej, zebraliśmy się i poszliśmy na spacer - Bombel z walizką - do apteki, aby nabyć Dentinox. Oj, przydał się, jest co smarować. Dwa zęby świeżo wyrżnięte i dwie świeżutkie opuchlizny, z których lada moment też się coś wyrżnie.

Friday was wonderful.
Although Dzidzia had her moments of rage, I totally understand her. It turns out she's having not one new tooth, but four, all at once! That's why she's furious as a wasp and throwing food. After breakfast, where Dzidzia ate two eggs and nothing else, we gathered ourselves and went for a walk – Bombel with the sand suitcase – to the pharmacy to buy Dentinox. Oh, it came in handy; there's plenty to apply. Two freshly erupted teeth and two freshly swollen areas, which are about to erupt.

Po niespiesznych zakupach udaliśmy się na plac zabaw, gdzie stworzyliśmy małe piaskowe dzieło sztuki. Fajna zabawa.

After some leisurely shopping, we headed to the playground where we created a small work of sand art. It was great fun.

Całe szczęście, u mnie też choroba była raczej dwudniówką, jest już dużo lepiej, albo może to po prostu dlatego, że jestem w domu? W każdym razie zdrowotnie odżyłam. Bombel wyraźnie był stęskniony, co chwilę chce się przytulać, trzymać za rękę, ja mam otwierać mu drzwi z auta i w ogóle najlepiej cały czas być obok. Mi to pasuje :) cudeńko.

Luckily, my illness lasted more like two days. It's much better now, or maybe it's just because I'm home? In any case, I've regained my health. Bombel was clearly missing me, constantly wanting to cuddle and hold my hand. I have to open the car door for him, and generally, I should be by his side at all times. That suits me perfectly :) It's wonderful.

I tylko serduszko mnie boli na myśl o tym, co mnie czeka. Ale tak przeczytałam właśnie dzisiaj w książce, którą może kiedyś opiszę, ale idzie mi opornie już od ponad pół roku, takie mądre zdania, żeby nie walczyć z tym co przynosi życie. Że życia nie możemy zmienić. Że możemy z tym walczyć, albo poddać się temu co jest i zaakceptować to, potraktować jak fale w oceanie, w którym jesteśmy zanurzeni, które nas otaczają i nami kołyszą. Kołysz się wraz z nimi. I jak na to patrzę z tej perspektywy, to owszem, to są fale, które są mi nie po drodze, ale jak wiele w życiu jest takich fal. A inne są całkiem przyjazne. No jakoś to będzie, bo musi, nie?

And my heart aches at the thought of what awaits me. But I read this today in a book I might write about someday, but I've been struggling for over six months now: such wise words about not fighting what life brings. That we can't change life. That we can fight it, or surrender to what is and accept it, treating it like waves in the ocean in which we are immersed, which surround us and rock us. Rock with them. And when I look at it from this perspective, yes, there are waves that don't suit me, but how many such waves are there in life? And others are quite friendly. Well, it will work out somehow, because it has to, right?
