I can't remember the last time that I've been engaged in physical activity outdoors, my routine is only house and school using my bike as my mode of transportation. It's been months since the last time I played badminton. Gladly, it's our free week since all the classes are moving online due to the strike.
Last night a friend of mine invited me to play badminton in Arca South, I agreed immediately cause I also need to breathe fresh air and also take a break from all the stress I have. Earlier this morning I woke up at 5 AM to prepare myself and ride going to Arca South. I think it's only a 3-kilometer ride but the path isn't plain since there are a lot of small terrains, gladly I'm using a mountain bike that's why it can withstand those remote terrains.
At 6 o'clock I managed to reach Arca south and I saw my friend waiting in a field of grass, I approached him and asked if he brings a shuttle cock, we both laugh since we have nothing to use to play badminton. It's weekdays that's why there are only a few people around especially students who are practicing their cultural dance. We start playing but I didn't push myself too much on smashing since I have no practice for months to avoid having strain injuries.
After we play, we decide to watch those who practice and we laugh so hard cause some of them aren't synchronized. I feel bored watching those students practicing that's why I decide to cycle at the oval to enhance my speed and balance on my bike.
My Bicycle is a second hand that it has lots of problems including the front brake, the wheel is already old, the gears are not smooth, and the bearing is broken, my bike needs total maintenance however, I need to prioritize more important things but once I paid my thesis and buy important things then I will make my bike handsome and give him lights to avoid future accidents.
Despite my bike conditions, it can still withstand long rides however I keep my shifter in 1 since once it was shifted to 7, it generates a clanging noise in its bearing that makes me feel shy to be heard by people around. The disadvantage of shifter 1 is, I need to pedal more which made me easily exhausted, another thing is, it's a break broken, and once pressed, the bike will immediately be stopped.
Those are outdoor activities I've done today, tomorrow I'll gonna jog to BGC since I miss exercising, also I need to fix myself after a lot of procrastination and loss of motivation. As soon as possible I want to save money for the maintenance of my bike, also buy a helmet since my old helmet was munch by my dog which makes it unusable.
