Just one catering job for this morning although being a WestJet Dreamliner it was a full truck load.
With that done and after lunch we were assigned an unusual duty. To collect a truck from Croydon Volvo which had been sent for repair to the tail lift.
We took a small van to get there so that I could drive it back. My colleague drove the HGV back to base.
On the way there we spotted an accident on the opposite side of the motorway involving an articulated lorry, which had rolled off the road and down an embankment. A tailback of traffic had built up.
My colleague took a different route back but I went the same way thinking that the accident might be cleared. I was wrong!
I arrived a full hour later than my colleague. He laughed 🤣. I was not so happy though.
