A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The promontory high African pressorio that is nailed on the Italian peninsula gives us another beautiful sunny day full of humidity, heat and continuous sweating. Mosquitoes keep us company as they find a perfect climate to proliferate undisturbed. In fact, the swallows, which are notoriously greedy of the annoying insects, have declared to have regretted having already migrated (mega LOL).
After a quick cool lunch I put my shoes on and took the bus for a new adventure in the city center to continue my connection with the Neapolitan soul of the city and the history that generated it.
As a first stop I stopped at the huge and recently renovated Piazza Municipio. The construction site was completed amid the controversy of the citizens for the lack of green also this other historic Neapolitan square. The new administrators are proving not up to par with the great mayors of the past. The only positive note is that there is less corruption and malaffare. These last defects have left us the common indebted enormously.
The Angevin Male has been applied a protective veil. I leave you jokes about the appearance of the entrance of the sumptuous castle of French origin.
This moat was once completely filled with water and there lived most likely a crocodile, supposedly of Egyptian origin.
Arrived at Piazza del Plebiscito I climbed the beautiful and very narrow via Chiaia to emerge in another square masterpiece of Bourbon architecture.
Piazza dei Martiri dedicated to all the illustrious citizens who died for the freedom of the Neapolitan people.
Here we have a beautiful building created by the ideas of Luigi Vanvitelli. In fact, we note the imprint of the mastery of the great architect.
My tour in the luxurious center of the city ends in Piazza Vittoria which extends to the sea on the Caracciolo promenade.
This statue represents the best Neapolitan mayor, Nicola Amore, to whom we owe the construction of many elegant buildings that you see immortalized among my photos.
Paused to take the last pictures I took the bus and the subway to Piazza Municipio and, once arrived in Piazza Garibaldi, not happy with the long walk I made the stairs on foot to climb from underground and I celebrated my iamalivechallenge 185. What about a wonderful afternoon alive to the rediscovery of the values that gave life to the city.
Finally I would like to thank all my friends from the tribe of Alive and all the new friends who happened between the lines of my stories for reading my thoughts and see you at the next actifit report.
