My Actifit RC: 10/28/23 - An alive evening with a lunar eclipse in ...

On Saturday morning the autumn continues that tastes of spring in Naples. The lows are those that are usually recorded in May/June as well as the highs are in line with the late Mediterranean spring.

Naples has always been known as the city of the sun and a beautiful song was inspired by the Neapolitan climate known all over the world or "my sun" in English "my sun".

But let’s start by saying that this has not been a day of rest for me as I have been all morning and mid-afternoon reinstalling Windows 10 on a very problematic computer.

Unfortunately those who had it held it still and are not aware that Windows 10 regularly does maintenance tasks on the operating system and also stopped an update because the PC seemed to not turn on.

Moral of the story gave it to me to reset the settings to the factory ones. It was a PC that really gave a hard time as it also had RAM and mass memory problems on the motherboard.

We said that Naples is the city of the sun so beautiful days but even at night competes with a unique scenery in the world thanks to its monumental historic buildings.

Moreover, looking at the Moon, something strange was immediately noticed on the surface that dirty the image of the surface.

In fact, there was a partial eclipse of the Moon that projected a small shadow of the Earth on the lunar disk that covered at most 6% of the visible face of our satellite.

It was wonderful to observe the evolution of the rare astronomical phenomenon along the entire route of our evening walk along the Caracciolo promenade in Mergellina.

The visibility was very high and the brightness of the Moon was at its peak, making it difficult to photograph the phenomenon from the smartphone.

Fortunately a live came across a telescope of an amateur who gave us the phenomenon visible live up close with breathtaking images in very high definition.

The eclipse obscured the point where the largest impact crater on the Moon’s surface is visible, however, the impact effects are visible despite the shadow.
