Skating at sunrise

Today was a long one. Got up around 11pm in the night shift and had a nice chat on the phone. Then I got some music and writing work done and had some breakfast. It still wasn't dawn yet! That's what happens when your day starts before midnight.
I haven't skated for a while, so I thought it was a good time to get back on the board. Not trying anything crazy these days, and I'm still pretty new to skateboarding, so I just enjoy cruising around different types of surfaces. I do want to learn how to manual and just play around with kick-pivoting, that's good enough excitement for me, haha!
I went north from my apartment and kept on truckin' until I found a nearby middle school I've never seen before. I was there when the sun started coming over the horizon and began snapping some golden hour shots with my iPhone. It was a beautiful and peaceful morning, hardly any cars in the neighborhoods, though I could hear the load roar of the interstate.
