It is always nice to see my brother's art out in the wild, so I had to snap off this picture from my youngest 1st cousin's bedroom when I was visiting for the Jewish New Year on Thursday. My dad and his three brothers all brought their wives to the dinner party on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, a block away from the famous NY Metropolitan Museum (The Met).
What that meant for me was a fun subway commute from Bushwick after school, stacking on additional steps beyond the 10K I got during my school day. Whatever calories I burned with my nearly 17K total steps were doubled with the amount of food I put down to celebrate the Jewish New Year 5785.
A few more select prints from my cousin's room. He also has a fantastic bong collection, which I sampled a few times over the course of the evening. It was a nice dinner event to catch up with my uncles and see how the new year is treating them. I even got three servings from the fruit plate and 4x more shortbread cookies than I should have. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Until next time...
