On Thursday, we were all in beach bums after the big boat trip adventure to Orosei the day before. We had reserved a spot on an exclusive beach called Cala Brandinchi, which was known locally at the Italian Tahiti. The water was clear through to the bottom and shallow out for quite some distance. Due to the protected beach, the waters were very calm.
Of course, with water around my FitBit, it was stashed away. At least, it finally synced to Italian time, which explains why I registered no steps before noon even though I was up at 9am. We left the beach after sunset around 9pm, so we spent almost 8 hours out there. It was gorgeous and we didn't want to leave!
After cleaning up, we went to a nice seafood restaurant and tried a Sardinian specialty, fregola with mixed shellfish (crabs, shrimp, and prawn). The tomato sauce was tangy, and the shellfish was fresh and tasty. Plus I got fully sauced as I picked apart the shells from the sweet meat inside. It was a fitting reward to fuel back up after a long day at the beach. 4.4K steps does no justice to how much activity I did swimming around in the water for 8 hours. Until next time...
