2nd day at the office. oh my, i wonder if i could survive this ordeal specially now that i know that i will be doing this till august. waking up early is just hard, and i miss the laid back environment of home.
but if you get this kind of view, then should i say that it was rewarding afterall? a photographer would surely love to have more views like this. and if you haven't noticed, this is my favorite picture for the day.
weather forecasted that there will be rains that day. i was prepared. that umbrella made my bag heavy. but it was never used, it rained while i was working. and by lunch, the rained has stopped. it made the ground wet though which prevented us from having lunch by the river front.
having lunch at the pantry gave us this view. we could still see the river but without the breeze.
for some reason after office hours, my work colleague who was also a housemate wanted to walk outside. i jokingly asked if she wanted to walk till home to which i was surprised that she replied yes. i guess she underestimated the distance overestimated her walking capacity. but i was happy to oblige.
i told her that it would be better to walk near the station route, we could quit anytime and just ride the train.
this view was taken short before reaching tokyo station. i would already be happy of we took the train from there, but this housemate was a trooper.
we eventually reached the business district of nihonbashi where everything looked so big and i never felt so small. towering buildings were everywhere and some were even historical. this one was probably one of the earliest buildings built in this district.
these buildings not just offices and department stores, some were meant for entertainment. this one had brightly lit lanterns which went well with the shrine beside it. my housemate waited for this lady to leave before taking a photo, but i took one with her in the frame anyway because i wanted the activity.
i was pretty sure my housemate was already feeling the burn at this point.
and by the ueno park area, she finally complained. we needed some rest and sweat were dripping our backs. i told her that we can always ride the train. but with our sweat drenched clothes, she politely declined. we will surely be targets of watchful eyes in the train if we ride one.
so on we went until home. 10 thousand steps for 2 and a half hours that night. and with another 10 thousand steps for the office errands, it was a formula for a good night's rest.
