I played disc golf with my son and a friend today. It is always fun when someone joins up with us out on the course. My son won the first round and I won the second.
I think I was playing well today. I was hitting a lot of putts from farther out than I usually do and making some nice throws both off the tee and when approaching the basket.
It is getting a lot warmer and the nice weather and my arm feeling much better has improved my game. I'm going to need to put my more stable summer discs in the bag soon. It is fun to switch things around but it takes some getting used to. I'll probably not make too many changes in my bag until the end of the spring league.
Both my son and I won scrip for use at the shop at the disc golf course that was organizing the league. This was the first week my son has won scrip and he was happy. We are getting close to enough scrip to get a nice practice basket.
A long coal train was passing through the disc golf course today:
I have trouble putting and throwing when the noise of the train gets too loud. I intentionally tried to throw more when the train was approaching just to get used to the noise. I'm kind of figuring out when the train will blow the horn and it did not bother me as much today.
All in all it was a very nice day.
