The morning was already thick with heat, the kind that clings to your skin and makes your shirt stick before you’ve even started to move. I pedaled to the Jungfernheide like most sundays, sweating but stubborn, determined not to miss my quiet moment by the water. The air smelled great, earthy, rich, and almost ancient, like the trees had stories to tell. In the shade by the pond, I paused. Breathed. Watched the birds blink themselves awake. I didn’t scroll, didn’t rush. I just was. Still. For once, I didn’t feel the need to be anywhere else. A heron stood statue-still, ducks were sitting in a row like forgotten toys, swans stretched their wings, and for you to enjoy i brought the sleepy mandarin duck couple, looking like fallen out of a fairy tale.
Der Morgen war schon sehr warm, die Luftfeuchtigkeit klebte an mir wie ein nasses Tuch. Ich radelte wie öfter Sonntags zum Morningwalk in die Jungfernheide. Sonnig, schweißtreibend und voller Leben. Der Park roch immernoch herrlich erdig nach den Regentagen, fast wie ein uraltes Geheimnis. Im Schatten am Wasser atmete ich tief durch, beobachtete Reiher, Enten, Schwäne und Blässhühner beim gemächlichen Aufwachen. Kein Stress, keine Eile, nur ich in Ruhe in mir. Und ein Pärchen verschlafene Mandarinenten, die aussahen, als wären sie aus einem Märchen gefallen hab ich euch zum anschauen mitgebracht.
