Friday ☀️ 6817
Some mornings muddled through like mist, and today was one of them. I wasn’t fully fit from yesterdays little collaps, not quite firing on all cylinders, so I only managed the very short Three Bridges round. It felt more like interval dragging than walking, but I still sweated through every stretch thanks to the sticky, stubborn humidity. The sky stayed sulky and gray, not a sliver of sun in sight. There wasn’t much magic to mention, until I looked up and spotted a gray heron perched in a tree. A still statue in the branches. Then, as if cued by curiosity, I saw him again from across the river on my way back on the other side. Can you sporöt him in the Willow? I brought these moments back for you, a glimpse of grace in an otherwise heavy morning.
Manche Morgen schleppten sich wie Nebel dahin, und heute war genau so einer. Ich war noch nicht ganz auf der Höhe, also ging ich nur die sehr kurze Drei-Brücken-Runde. Es fühlte sich eher wie Intervall-Schleppen als Gehen an, aber wegen der immer noch drückenden Feuchtigkeit schwitzte ich bei jedem Abschnitt ordentlich. Der Himmel blieb grau und grummelig, kein Sonnenstrahl weit und breit. Es gab nicht viel zu erzählen, bis ich plötzlich einen Graureiher im Baum entdeckte. Regungslos saß er da, wie ein stilles Zeichen. Und als ich dann auf der anderen Seite des Flusses zurücklief, sah ich ihn wieder. Kannst ihn erkennen in der Weide? Diese Momente hab ich euch natürlich mitgebracht.
