Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I know you have many other things to do, so am grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A dull cloudy morning but lots of wonderful fresh air 🍃.
Next I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. The election campaign rallies also kept going.
Globally, Joe Biden trending as he tested positive for covid. They say the symptoms are mild and he is still working in isolation. Political shenanigans 😹 in Italy as the PM resigned , prompting the president to dissolve parliament in readiness for a snap election in September 😱. Elsewhere in Moscow, Hungarian FM, stopped by as a key pipeline began supplying Russian gas to Europe.
Over in crypto land bitcoin, still sideways at 23k. I did settle down to some crypto analysis videos, most analysts predicting another fall but fingers crossed. The ECB hiked interest rates for the first time in 11 years😱. Remember the 💶 euro hasn't been fairing well recently.
Later in the afternoon, I stopped by the city centre 🌲 for a few errands. Then I headed back home 🏡 where I had my usual nap 💤. I woke up some time early evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news.
Trending in Sri Lanka, the new president Ranil, was sworn in. He has been PM six times before and people think he was part of the problem and cannot be trusted 😱. In crazy weather, the wild fires continued in some parts of Europe. Flash floods reported in Northern Nigeria.
Anyways, as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. As always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
