Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's and other furry friends day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain and as always glad you stopped by. It's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's get started 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube.The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹, It's the weekend so the politicians are roaming everywhere.
Niger still trending, the coup leaders have not reinstated president Bazoum as instructed by ECOWAS. The deadline for that is on Sunday after that ECOWAS backed by France will intervene militarily🙀. Meanwhile the Niger coup leaders say they will seek the help of Russian Wagner mercenaries😹.
Let's go to Ukraine where Russia says one of its oil tankers in the blacksea was hit by Ukrainian drone. Ukraine have asked Russia to stay off their international waters and also leave their country😹.
Meanwhile Saudi Arabia has kicked off a summit to discuss president Zelensky's plan for peace in Ukraine.
Many countries are participating including China.
In Pakistan, political shenanigans 😹 as former PM was sentenced to three years in prison for corruption🙀. He was arrested in Lahore and his party has called for nationwide protests following that arrest.
More political shenanigans 😹 as Kuwait warned bilateral ties could sour over Lebanese Minister's comments🙀.
Finally in crazy weather, catastrophic floods have hit Slovenia as a month's worth of rain fell in one night🙀. Rail, roads and electricity cut off to many areas.
Then the heat wave in south Korea is affecting hundreds of teenagers who had gathered their for the annual scouts jamboree🙀. Their tents can't withstand the heat.
