Happy hump πͺ day and a very warm welcome to my report. We are bang in the middle of the week and the second day of July.
Today was totally different from yesterday weather-wise. No heatwave instead we had some drizzling in the morning with a dip in temps. From yesterday's 33 celsius down to 20 celsius.
So I made the most of it with an extended morning walk. Around the neighborhood ending up at the park π² and then back indoors.
I then got on with the usual house chores before settling down to some youtube videos and following some of the trending stories on twitter.
Around lunch time I stopped by the city centre for an errand then got back home.
My last walk came this evening. I made quick walk around the neighborhood then got the groceries before heading indoors.
So that has been my day and it's now time to turn out attention to the day's trending news.
Starting off in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have killed more than 100 Palestinians, 24 of those killed at the 'humanitarian' food distribution centresπΏ.
For Palestinians, it is a desperate situation, either death by bullets or death by hungerπΏ.
In the last five weeks since the humanitarian food distribution centres were set up over 600 Palestinians have been killed queueing for food aidπ.
Meanwhile Hamas have said they are reviewing the US ceasefire proposal that would see an end to the bombings for at least 60 days. Fingers crossed it goes throughπ―.
In the other war Russia has continued its attacks on Ukraine, hitting a hospital in the city of Kherson. Damages and injuries reportedπΏ.
Then Trump administration has blocked shipment of weapons to Ukraine that were supposed to be sent later this month citing low stockπ.
Speaking of Trump, across the pond. Voting is underway in the house of representatives to pass his big beautiful bill. It narrowly passed in the senate yesterday.
Elon Musk has warned the bill will raise US debt to five trillionπ.
Still in the US, the pentagon says Iranian nuclear program has been degraded by two years following the US attack by bunker buster bombs on 3 sites in Iran.
Finally, millions of people in third world countries face an uncertain future after Trump administration shut down USAID which has been running since 1961π.
It funds vaccinations, medication for HIV and Malaria among other crucial health promoting programs. I don't know how some of the countries will survive. Suffering and death on the horizonπΏ.
