Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report. I have had a lovely day and it's now time to break down how it went including some of the trending stories that caught my eye π.
You definitely know the drill, let's get things rolling π¨.
So I did begin my day with a quick walk around the neighborhood. It was mostly cloudy βοΈ as I made my way. However the day has been sunnyπand cloudy in equal measure.
Then I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Later settled down to some you tube videos and also watched the trending news. We had a bit of drizzling in the afternoon.
The final walk was the usual slow paced sunset π walk. This time around the neighborhood ending up at the park π² before heading back home and calling it a day.
So that was the stepping and now let's delve into the trending stories making headlines.
In Gaza, the mass murder kept going with 60 Palestinians killed across the strip in Israeli airstrikes targeting HamasπΏ.
Meanwhile, the forced starvation or Israeli created famine kept going with 115 Palestinians dead from hunger and malnutrition since March this year. 1 in three people in Gaza is not eating for days on end. The UN estimates close to 90,000 people need immediate treatment from malnutrition.
All this as Israel has blocked hundreds of aid trucks from entering the strip.
Across the border in Israel, protesters have been rallying asking for a ceasefire deal with Hamas and a return of captives ASAP.
Unfortunately, special UN envoy, Steve Witkoff and his team have left Qatar and ceasefire negotiations saying Hamas was not co-operating.
In Washington, pro Palestinian protesters gathered with pictures of malnourished children to demand an end to the blockade of aid.
In the Netherlands, protesters had sit ins in more than 20 train stations. The protests were loud as they banged pots and pans demanding an end to hunger in Gaza.
Still in Europe, EU MEP's have demanded for an urgent emergency meeting to discuss the situation in Gaza.
In France, Macron said the country will formally recognize the state of Palestine at UN General Assembly in September.
In Asia, another conflict is brewing as Thailand and Cambodia exchanging fire across their common border, each side accusing the other of firing first.
Finally, sad news as wrestling legend Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71 after a cardiac arrest. Fans are definitely going to miss him RIP.
