I made a Wave yesterday saying that I'm going to be using Actifit to change the direction of my Hive account.
From this point on I will be making my blog a fitness blog with a slight difference. I will be approaching weight loss in a more scientific way than most people do.
Actifit is a great fitness tracker although if I'm being honest its iOS app sucks due to being an Android port rather than an iOS version (that's a different topic) and also because its development is behind the Android one instead of being co-developed at the same time. If I had a Mac capable of programming I'd look at helping in this respect but I don't.
That being said Actifit is the best approach for me so I will be using it as my HIVE frontend from now on due to the fitness slant.
So how am I approaching this scientifically? I want to prove whether or not the old mantra of "Eat Less, Move More" is the best way to go. At the moment I'm seeing encouraging results.
I'll also look into diets but not follow one. I'll explain this as I go.
I'm also trying to prove scientifically that you don't need gyms. This is to prove that losing weight is a hell of a lot easier than we've been led to believe. I firmly believe that "No pain, no gain" is a stupid mantra spouted by idiots with big bodies and tiny heads.
I'm hoping to post regular videos of my efforts and findings on my YouTube channel. I'll soon have a dedicated playlist for that called "Loweded Fitness" so you don't have to trundle through all my other crap videos.
To aide in my efforts I have created a spreadsheet that allows me to keep track of body measurements that Actifit doesn't track. I've made it available to everyone here:
It's 100% free but if you want to support me then feel free to pay what you want for it. I'm trying to get enough money to be able to buy a nice little development Mac
I'm looking forward to this journey and it will be all worth it if someone sees what I'm doing, tries it, and it works for them.
Fitness and health doesn't need to be hard and draining and I'm about to prove it.
