It's been a while since my last daily activity report post. So I'm back to continue with it. Well, today is Friday, and just like we all say, "Thank God it's Friday".
As an NYSC corp member, it is expected of us to do what's called "CDS" meaning, Community Development Service. We go into the community on specific days and do something that would develop or help the community. Most of the time, we clean up and sensitise the community on health, security, etc.
The community which I was posted to serve is called "Amasomma", and it is located in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. We do our CDS every Friday, and as today is Friday, we didn't forget or skip it. We did CDS and we went into a nearby community called "Ogobiri" here in Bayelsa State and also a fellow corpers lodge and did come clean up as well as visiting primary schools in the community.
It was a fun day, and I enjoyed myself as I participated in the activities involved. While going into the community, I also noticed they have a river flowing very fast.
