What better way to spend 10k summer humpday steps than on the golf course? Get all slathered up with sunscreen on the outside and a few tins of swing oil (beer) for the inside and friends.
No sunscreen needed this day as it was cool and overcast. Breezy and misty for the most part with a few bouts of drizzle.
The course sure was nice though. A hot and sunny summer with occasional showers made for lush green fairways I didn’t spend too much time on. The rough was equally as lush and the greens were mercifully soft with the rain.
The flowerbeds were alive with colour as well including these lilies I just had to stop and admire. No, I did not hit my ball into these. In fact, I only lost 1 ball all afternoon.
As for the swing oil, the flavour of the day was Hazy Days IPA from Cowbell Brewing. A couple of these will loosen you up good and you might even accidentally step on the top of the can. Crooked beers for crooked shots.
A super fun day on the course despite the grey skies and occasional sprinkles. Seems almost like the perfect day when the drizzle was light enough to dry out in between, and it was mild enough to be comfy the whole time. As our luck would have it, the sun peeked out just sss-sss-sss we were leaving after the game.
Again, a solid and super fun way to walk 10k steps in the middle of the week!
