Welcome, this is the first HOC community account post.
Vision
The HOC Hive Onboarding Committee's vision is to create a thriving hive ecosystem by welcoming and empowering new users, providing extensive support, and guiding them towards discovering their ideal tribes within hive.
WE PLEDGE TO STICK TO OUR VISION AND BE TRANSPARENT
Financial allocations
The HOC is not here to financially enrich its founders, supporters, or established hive users.
Any delegation donations and funds raised by the community account will go toward supporting new verified users directly with upvotes or investing in things that will bolster those upvotes/ diversify them with other hive engine tokens, we will also be delegating RC to our new verified users.
Verified new users
In an effort to stop abuse and insure that the HOC is only supporting new users we are implementing something we are calling verified new users.
Our educational resources are going to be open to all however in order to get any financial support from the HOC you need to become a verified new users, this can happen in one of 2 ways.
- An established hive user or HOC admin(more roles may be included eventually) refers the new user to the HOC, they go on our verified user list and along with the name of the hive user who referred them.
- If a new user stumbles upon the HOC they must create an introduction post in the HOC community on Hive. The introduction post should include a selfie of the user holding a piece of paper with their Hive name and the current date. However, if the user is reluctant to share a selfie, they can alternatively take a picture of their hand holding a piece of paper with their Hive name and the current date.
It's important to note that if the new user doesn't share a selfie in their introduction post, they will need to take another picture after they have posted their first introduction. The HOC will provide instructions for the second picture after the user has completed the first one.
We strongly suggest every new user makes an introduce yourself post even if they got referred and are not required to do so to get financial support from the HOC.
Sponsorships
If a hive user/community is interested in financially supporting the HOC
We offer a wall of donors that includes the user/community and their donation/commitment.
We all know that finding your tribe/tribes on hive is crucial for success, we will be featuring a communities list and our community sponsors will be featured at the top of that list based on their contributions.
Other communities will be feautured that do not sponor us and we aim to find and make resources to help our new users learn how they can become a part of these various communities.
If you want your community to grow and trhieve its in your best interest to work with us so when we brinig someone to your community they are embraced and supported these new users, even if you don't want to support the HOC directly.
We accept hive power, HP delegation and even a commitment to upvote on our community post and our new verfied users as well as hive engine tokens that can yield some more votes.
Transparency and acknowledgments
This post was written by @bitcoinman with some slight help from AI to refine the message and improve the delivery.
The HOC has been recently started by @bulliontools and @bitcoinman with a big spark and a lot of support from @raymondspeaks.
This is the first community post however @bulliontools has made 2 post under the community tag on his personal account setting this community account as s 100% benefactor on both!
Hive basics
Hive, Hive Power and HBD Explained
@bitcoinman also did one under the community tag setting this community account as a 50% benefactor, I gave away 10% in my reblog lottery, however I am ready to put my hive where my mouth is, I already sent 10 HP to the community account, and will be doing more.
