Hello people of #HIVE, this is the first time I share music content and I'm very happy to present my Freestyle. Currently, freestyling means a lot to me, because it is what I do for work: I sing in public transport. In that space, I meet great people, grow professionally and break down barriers such as fear, doubt, and insecurity. I learned to freestyle when I lived in Medellin, Colombia between 2018 and 2019; my first time doing it was on a bus and today I perform on a train.
This time, I wanted to share a freestyle from the street. I was walking near the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona with my girlfriend when we stumbled upon these artists from Venezuela and Colombia playing folklore music. This piece is Venezuelan and is composed by Arpa, Cuatro, Bajo and Maracas. When I heard that, I got closer to appreciate the music and potentially collaborate. My heart sped up, different feelings took over me and I thought “oh, I wan to try to freestyle with this melody”
When I started, people in the Plaza started getting closer to listen to us and, luckily, someone recorded it and shared the video with me. My lyrics include: « How much I miss you, Venezuela. I would like to go back but I have to stay because I need to work ».
Many people turn to music as a method of work and thanks to it, they can pay their expenses and help their families. In addition to sharing their feelings and vibes through an instrument and meeting interesting people, they can develop personally and grow their passions and talents.
I hope that you enjoy this and give it some likes
