Hello Music Lovers, welcome to this week's edition of #ttt, I selected three old but evergreen pieces of music to share with you all today and I also state the reasons for sharing them.
I hope you enjoy listening.
Shania Twain -Forever and always
Released in 2002.
I heard this song while growing up, haha and always imagined whose arm I will be in someday๐๐๐.
In this video, the kids started as genuine friends and then fell in love later in the future.
Funnily, my high school mates' got hitched last week Saturday, we were all classmates, the boy, and the girl too, I remember how they were inseparable in school, our teachers jokingly tease them as they never knew it will last till this day, We all thought maybe after high school they might outgrow each other but they proved us wrong. They both attended the same university after high school and now? Married๐. It was so beautiful as the party was more of a reunion for us, their classmates.
This song was played in the wedding reception because truly their love was one of the most genuine love out there.
Now, this song has great meaning to me as it depicts commitment and being content with however we have chosen to be with, looking for new ways to keep the feeling alive.
If you are like me and believe forever and always, then this song is for you.
Tony Braxton -Spanish Guitar
Released in 2000.
In my wild fantasy, I would love to be played like a Spanish guitar๐๐๐ by the one whom I desire. I used to crush on this celebrity called #MarquesHouston while growing up, I used to fantasize about being his wife and having kids for him๐๐๐๐ that was many years ago though.
We all have wild fantasies but they are just fantasies.
This song is just Tony Braxton and her desires, wishing to be played like a Spanish guitar by a man who she had a thing for but wasn't aware.
This reminds me of a story I wrote yesterday titled Love and Lust and then @jjmusa2004 made a very nice comment about going for what we want, it's either a yes or a no, but in this part of the country where I come from, it's very rare to see a woman going after the one she desires, she only gives the green light, if he's not understanding then she rather die in silence.๐๐๐
I knew nothing about Tony Braxton until I was in my teens, my sister never stop playing this song and illustrating playing her "imaginary guitar" while singing so today I just wanna share the good old song that never goes old.
Dido -White flag
I can die for Dido oh๐๐๐, her songs are all emotional, and her voice is magical and beautiful.
This song too was heard while growing up and to date it's evergreen.
I think it's about not giving up on our relationship, like she said, there will be no white flag.
She's not surrendering, she will make up and make it work.
I just went down memory lane today and decided to share these beautiful tunes from my childhood days.
This is my entry for the #ttt by @ablaze.
