Greetings Hive Music Lovers!!!
It never wanes or dies. The sound of music is always alive. In your heart, mine, and in all we do. Whenever it is heard, it stays put. It doesn't stop ringing in our ears even after years of listening to it. It is the perfect melody for our ears and our very being.
Music came to our world before mankind for it has been written that God spoke, and it was fulfilled. This means that God made a sound, and music begins with a sound. Either by voice, nature, or beating/hitting of other objects. Music is all. It is the right dosage for humanity as it leads us on especially in our darkest moments.
Therefore, I have decided to come up with some African music to celebrate our day. Christmas Eve, Sunday, and holidays. But, before I move further, let's get to know the brain behind today's tune. Let's go.
Who Is She?
Oh, yes. Our beautiful, sweet, and elegant spotlight artist for Sunday is... yes, welcome Nneka Lucia Egbuna, who is a Nigerian singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress. She sings beautifully in English, Igbo, and Nigerian Pidgin... The right amount of banger voice for her songs. She has all the vibes for it.
She was born in the year 1980 in the month of December 24th, which makes today her sweet year's birthday. So, let's join hands together to celebrate her.
I have chosen 3 of her tunes to take us on this journey. I hope you are ready to dance and whine with me.
Africans:Nneka.
The silence, and then the beat before her voice. The perfect combo. I do have to say I like her hands as they move the strings of the guitar.
Now, let's move our bodies and enjoy the song. Open your heart and body and have fun.
My Home; Nneka.
Home sweet home. We all have a place we feel safe in. A place where we get all the love, attention, and sweetness in.
And, now is the time to swiftly move your waist and your legs as you gently close your eyes. Move to that place. That safe arena and have fun.
Shining Star; Nneka.
Yes, you are shining, star. I know there's a lot in the world that wants to get you. But don’t let whatever is happening pull you down because you are a shiny star.
All videos used were gotten from #YouTube.
Still yours truly,
Balikis.
Thanks for reading and listening.
Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
