Greetings Hive Music Lovers!!!
Music never fails. It always butters the heart of its listeners with different genres, which was derived from the ancient world of using sticks on things or blowing air into some sort of wood or iron.
In time, music instruments advanced, and the sounds became better and easier to play with electro uc gadgets still, and ancient songs still rocks. They give the ultimate full vibe needed to keep your feet off the ground. And, that's to tell you that no matter how old a music is, the music never dies. It is evergreen in the hearts of those who know it and the generation who are just coming in contact with it.
Therefore, today, I have brought you music Highlife from a known evil genius African Nigerian singer Victor Olaiya. But, before we proceed towards the chosen tunes of his, let's get to know who the genius truly is.
Evil Genius Victor?
Victor Abimbola Olaiya, also known as Dr Victor Olaiya, was a Nigerian trumpeter and bandleader who played in the highlife style.
He was born in the year 1930 in the month of December 31st, which means today is his birthday. However, he died in the year 2020 in the month of February 12th, which is just some days to a high celebrated Love Festival in the world.
Though famous in Nigeria during the 1950s and early 1960s, Olaiya received little recognition outside his native country. Therefore, I have brought him forward to be recognized by you, too. Let's celebrate his day.
Ilu Le O: Victor Olaiya.
"Ilu le o" which translates to the "country is hard" in Yoruba. He spoke about the need for money. The pains of the masses who struggle endlessly with little or nothing to take home.
The sound of the music gives me that feeling of something sad yet thrilling. Just by moving your legs and your waist, you'll do well with the music steps.
Baby Mi Da: Victor Olaiya Ft 2face.
Whine, twist and move your legs in a fun way. Let the beat lead you as you enjoy the song.
Close your eyes and feel the presence of the music. Don't stop dancing. Celebrate as we dive right into a new dawn.
Mr. Judge: Victor Olaiya.
Just the beat alone is enough to make me jigger. Haha. Dance, whine, and move. Enjoy the flow of the music.
