( EN / DE ) I've already chosen the topic for this post last week and I have to admit, I thought it would be more kind of a "simple exercise" ... There are enough famous and good female bald singers, right? Yes, one would think, but then to really find some whose music I like, that took quite a long time.
Das Thema für diesen Post hatte ich schon vorige Woche gewählt und ich muss zugeben, ich dachte es wäre eher eine "einfache Übung" ... Es gibt doch genug berühmte und gute Sängerinnen mit Glatze, oder? Ja, möchte man meinen, aber dann wirklich auch welche zu finden, deren Musik mit gefällt, das hat recht lange gedauert.
One of the first that came to my mind was Grace Jones, for example. In fact, most of the time she wasn't bald, but had this strange square tuft of hair on her head. But you also could see her without hair, though, and either way she's one of the early strong women in terms of her appearance and look in the 80s. So she deserves to be mentioned here.
Eine der ersten, die mir einfiel war zum Beispiel Grace Jones. Tatsächlich hatte sie die meiste Zeit allerdings keine Glatze, sondern dieses merkwürdige viereckige Haarbüschel auf dem Kopf. Man hat sie aber auch ohne Haar zu Gesicht bekommen und so oder so ist sie eine der frühen starken Frauen, was ihr Auftreten und Aussehen in den 80ern anbelangt. Also hat sie es verdient, hier erwähnt zu werden.

I discovered two more beautiful voices, that I didn't know about before. The first is Veronika Bozeman (V Bozeman) and the second Cynthia Erivo:

In general it seems to me, dark-skinned women find it easier to present themselves without hair than lighter-skinned women?
Whereas in these TV talent shows worldwide it almost becomes a trend to stand out from the crowd by being bald, at least my impression in the course of the Youtube search ;-)
Ganz allgemein scheint es mir, dunkelhäutigen Frauen fällt es leichter sich ohne Haar zu präsentieren, als es bei hellhäutigen Frauen der Fall ist?Wohingegen es bei diesen TV Talent Shows weltweit schon fast zum Trend wird, durch Glatze aus der Masse herauszustechen, zumindest mein Eindruck im Laufe der Youtube Suche ;-)
