Greetings fellow musical Hivers 🤘
Hi there fellow Hivers 🙌😊. I hope everyone reading this is doing ok, safe and comfortable. Today I want you, dear reader, to just seat back, chill and maybe have a little drink. I wanted to leave here this daily reminder to just pamper yourself! You deserve it! 😁
This last week, I've been on fire 🔥🔥🔥! The feeling of accomplishment always puts me up in a good mood and therefore - more energy and creativity to write 😉. So today, not only I'm going to share another 3 (hopefully enjoyable) tunes in the week 39 of #ttt as also going back to my mood of just letting words flow and see if you enjoy the final result.
Three Tune Tuesday 🎸
For those of you who don't know, Three Tune Tuesday was created by @ablaze and as he explains 👇
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning a prize.
With that being said, I would like to stand out a person that was my inspiration for this post and has a great influence in my choice's for this week recommendation.
A big thank you to @jin-out for this marvelous share of Carolina Eyck in the comments of my last #ttt post 👏👏. I was hooked and went straight to obsessing 😆.
Secondly, I said this to @sagesigma a few weeks ago, and this is where I must now face the consequences of saying the opposite affirmation right now.
I must confess I'm not a big big fan of Electronic Music but I can enjoy it depending on my mood hehe
I'm sorry @sagesigma 🙏! I actually like Electronic music I was just only aware of a small part of what Electronic Music is or can be! I look foward for more of your shares in this particular genre 😁😁😁
And this lead me to a new discovery! How amazing is that, dear reader? I confess I was amazed by this little unknown instrument - Theremin! As Carolina explains it, the theremin is the only instrument you play without actually touching it. I was mesmerized not only by her voice, her composition but also by the motion of her hands and body (note to self- My physiotherapist eyes were very rejoiced 😍😍).
Lastly, I have to tell you about a few interactions I had with @jin-out that gave a little push to my inner wannabe artist to step out from the shadows. I am currently working to get ready and embrace the challenge he has given me. (note to self - almost there!).
I'm sorry, dear reader, but it's not gonna be today, and if you're curious about what the challenge is I encourage you to stay tuned for the next few posts 🙃😆🙈 (note to self - I'm definitely gonna regret this! Why the hell did you bring their attention to this? No pressure ahm? 🤷♀).
Please, consider yourself warned that if I magically disappear for a while after a specific post - that's the one containing the answer to his challenge. You'll understand why afterwards 😆🙈 (note to self - sometime soon! No pressure! Breath!)
So, dear reader, after this intended pressure I put on myself to get the courage I need, let's get down to the actual tunes of this week? YEAHH, let's do it! 🎧
My 3 song recommendation 😎
1 - Mezerg - Welcome Theremin
So, after getting super excited about the theremin I went to my boyfriend to show him this new awesome thing I just discovered! News flash, he already knew the theremin 🙄! (note to self - I swear someday I'll bring to his hear's attention some new and awesome tune! Yap, it's a competition now!)
He then showed me this artist and Mezerg had this little video that gives you an idea of how the theremin works and with a cool beat to boost! So I thought it would be a good one to share on #ttt 😁
As the theme of this week is also jam sessions, I found this live Mezerg made just smashing everything. I don't even know how to quantify all the musical genres he mashes up together!
If you wanna explore, I warn you, this video has 50 minutes. I've only watched it until min 20 I confess, is a bit much going on. But so talented! So I think it's worth checking out at least and see for yourself a little taste of what he has to offer. Just click here and advance to minute 3:00 for a quick flavour.
2 - Herbie Hancok - Space Captain
According to Wikipedia, Space Captain was a commercial sucess composed by the songwriter Matthew Moore and then recorded by Joe Cocker back in 1970. A powerful message, the lyrics of this song still apply so well to the reality of the present... Something to think about!
And what to say about this top class musical perfomers? This is a jam session where a group of musical talented people joined together and do a cover of a song they all know very well. This was this first attempt, dear reader!
Of course this was shown to me by my partner (I'm trying to convince him to start posting on Hive), and he already had showed me Herbie Hancok before, so I feel I shoudn't be given credit for finding this. I just enjoyed it so much, on a loop recently, so I really wanted to share them on Three Tune Tuesday.
That voice is just chilling! I got imediate goosebumps with that voice and I realize now I don't know who she is (note to self - Great! Another thing to discover! 🤗). Then that little dispute between Herbie, the guitarrist and the other pianist is just superb 😍.
3 - Beard of Harmony - Right in two (Tool cover)
Last but not least, this amazing trio Beard of Harmony playing on the street! They are playing a cover of the song Right in Two from Tool. I didn't knew Tool when I heard this and I loved it so much that actually I prefer this version to the original 😆
This was yet another little obsession of mine and I listened to this for months, everyday. Love the guitar duet with that big cello deep sound and also their voices match up so nicely!
I haven't heard it in a while since I'm currently obsessing about other tunes, as you can see. I'm so glad I remember this to complete my little theme of jam sessions, my favourite way of enjoying music!
Final considerations 🙌
That's it from me for week 39 of Three Tune Tuesday 🤘 I hope you enjoyed listening to this as much as I did writing about them! I would love to read your thoughts about the music shared, if you liked them, if it made you check on some specific artist...
Writing this post, I got a little carried away and found myself with a post of 15 minutes reading time 🙈. I started diverging a little from the main subject of this community - that is music.
I don't want to waste anyone's time so I thought to be best to save it for another day and post it on the correct community. I reflected a little bit about the feeling of accomplishment and I still need to finish it after a long night of sleep 😊
I will be taking a few days off work this next few days and I'll most likely be travelling, so sadly I won't be able to join on next week #threetunetuesday. I wish everyone good luck and I'll be stoping by later to repply to everyone and check tunes from fellow #ttt posters and adding it to the spotify playlist 😁
I'll hopefully return with some uplifting and revigoring beats and tunes 👋
