This was a very hard challenge for me... I think part of the reason is just because I am so out of practice. There haven't been too many challenges over here on the Hive Chain with the exception of @yourtop3 community that I sadly haven't participated in for a while.
Anyway, I was selected as one of the three people that @slobberchops challenged to this initiative. He was inspired by the #weekend-engagement post by @galenkp. I will be very honest in saying I am quite nervous about this whole thing. As much as I love music I feel a little intimidated by the extent to which @verhp11, @slobberchops, and @steevc take it. I am actually not entirely happy with my final selection, but it meets the requirements in the rules below and without putting weeks (if not months) of thought into it, this is the best I could do.

Rules:
Tell me about an album you love and tell me about the standout album track on it.
Don’t tell me about any singles on your album. I want to hear about that hidden gem that is tucked away and not played on the radio.
Give me a story about the album, how you learned about it, and most importantly highlight that special album track
Challenge THREE more people to do the same. It’s good to write, especially about music. It’s a passion.
Make sure you add these rules to your post and feel free to use the format I use below.
Post your Music Challenge article in the MUSIC Community
If you want to write a post and have not been challenged, then do so.
Prefix your post 'Writing Music Challenge' so it's easy to spot.
To say that the music of U2 was influential to me would be a gross understatement. Those that know me are probably shocked that I didn't put something by Counting Crows on here, but before Counting Crows dominated my music listening U2 was at the top of the list.
Personally, I consider the albums between The Joshua Tree and How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb some of their greatest stuff. I know lovers of Boy, October, War, and The Unforgettable Fire will probably disagree with me and I totally understand.
I think I owned Achtung Baby before I owned The Joshua Tree, but I was very familiar with the hits from TJT including "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "With or Without You". Likely I had heard "Where the Streets Have No Name" a time or two without realizing it.
I nearly selected Achtung Baby for this challenge, but in the end one song from The Joshua Tree won out.
This song really stands out to me because not only is it a hidden gem on this album, it was also on the first "mix tape" that a girl ever made for me. Sure I had made my own mix tapes with my dual cassette deck, but this was the first one that had ever been made for me.
It was totally platonic and didn't hold any of the inherent meaning that a mix tape usually does, but it was still pretty special to me.
I didn't know much later than this song is actually about heroin addiction, but even if you set that aside it is still really powerful and meaningful song.
I think Bono shows his true range and control of his voice in this song and though it doesn't have the signature jangling guitars front and center which have become synonymous with U2, it still has a huge impact.
So there you go, that is my pick for this challenge.
I challenge @cryptoandcoffee, @bigtom13, and @cryptictruth to see what they can come up with.
