Sometimes you get a dm and a treat to a piece of music. Today was such a day. I first got to listen to a music piece by one of our redfish in the terminal called @stayten. He produced a great piece of music and I heard some Indian influences and it was great while i was working. Do check out our new member. ( @stayten/high-quality-stress-or-original )
Than I got a DM that was the next gem while I was working. It was a piece with Alba Armengou. She has such a sweet voice. And for those who have been following me a bit longer, I love trompet, violin and Saxofoon. The director al this all is, Joan Chamorro. I never heard from him before, so I looked up his bio. And guess what Wikipedia ( my source ) said in the first sentence, he studied saxofoon in Barcelona, one of my favorite cities, and the city our son studied Spanish.
Sometimes all comes together, thats why I wanted to do this blog. I will make the two people that expended my love for music today 30 % beneficiaries of this blog. I know @edje already knows your work, i wonder what @verhp11 thinks of your work.
Joan Chamoro studied saxophone at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona under Adolf Ventas. He also graduated the music school Taller de Músics in Barcelona.He has played with Slide Hampton, Tete Montoliu, Frank Foster, Teddy Edwards, Frank Wess, Bebo Valdés, Randy Brecker, Gary Smulyan, Dick Oatts, Jessie Davis, Dennis Rowland, Carmen Lundy, John Mosca, David Allen, Bobby Shew, and Judy Niemack. He was part of the Big Band del Taller de músics, the Big Band de Bellaterra, John Dubuclet’s Big Band, the Big Band Jazz Terrassa, and Eladio Reinón-Tete Montoliu’s Supercombo. In 2006, Chamorro founded the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, where he teaches young musicians (7–21-years-old). He is the producer of the Joan Chamorro Presenta collection featuring some of the members of the Sant Andreau Jazz Band, for example Andrea Motis, Alba Armengou, Eva Férnandez, Rita Payés and Elia Bastida. The album Joan Chamorro Presenta La Màgia De La Veu received the Enderrock Award 2015 for the best album and the album Joan Chamorro Presenta Rita Payés received the Enderrock Award 2015 for best new jazz project. In 2013, Ramón Tort made a documentary film A Film about Kids and Music that is a portrait of Joan Chamorro and his music project, the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.
Chamorro also leads the Andrea Motis & Joan Chamorro Quintet.

As I said I am a sax lover, yes with an A! I love Candy Dulfer, she is a dutch saxofoon player and her dad was a sad-layer aswell. She was in the band of Prince / The artist formerly known as Prince.

A veces obtienes un dm y un regalo con una pieza musical. Hoy fue uno de esos días. Primero pude escuchar una pieza musical de una de nuestras gallinetas en la terminal llamada @stayten. Produjo una gran pieza musical y escuché algunas influencias indias y fue genial mientras trabajaba. Echa un vistazo a nuestro nuevo miembro. (@stayten/high-quality-stress-or-original)
Entonces obtuve un DM que fue la siguiente joya mientras estaba trabajando. Fue una pieza con Alba Armengou. Tiene una voz tan dulce. Y para aquellos que me han estado siguiendo un poco más, me encanta el trompeta, el violín y el saxo. El director de todo esto es Joan Chamorro. Nunca supe de él antes, así que busqué su biografía. Y adivinen lo que dijo Wikipedia (mi fuente) en la primera oración, estudió saxofón en Barcelona, una de mis ciudades favoritas, y la ciudad en la que nuestro hijo estudió español. A veces todo se junta, por eso quería hacer este blog. Haré que las dos personas que hoy gastaron mi amor por la música en un 30% se beneficien de este blog.

En 2013, Ramón Tort realizó un documental Una película sobre niños y música que es un retrato de Joan Chamorro y su proyecto musical, la Sant Andreu Jazz Band.
