To accompany your weekend I will give you cool songs to listen to. There's nothing wrong with that, maybe you've never heard their songs, or even you really like their songs but have forgotten and I'd be happy to remind you again, okay! This time, I will invite you to remember not too old songs from a band whose vocalist is a girl and her voice is rocking. This music band is in the emo, pop punk and rock genres.
The vocalist has a cool emo hairstyle, with slightly bold but still cute makeup, and a punk-like dressing style. She's really cool and I like her. Guess who the band I mean is? Yup, they are Paramore!! Paramore is a band from the United States which was formed in 2004, consisting of 4 members, they are Hayley Williams, vocalist, Jeremy Davis, bassist, Josh Farro, main guitarist and drummer Zac Farro.
The first time I heard about Paramore was when I was in college at that time, my friend told me that this band was cool and I had to listen to their songs. She recommended a song from Paramore entitled Crush Crush Crush. That was the first song I knew from Paramore and with that song I immediately fell in love with this band. The song Crush Crush Crush is one of the songs on Paramore's second studio album Riot!, and is also the third single on this album.
A little random story, when I saw the Paramore video clip that my friend recommended, entitled Crush Crush Crush, I was stunned by vocalist Hayley Williams, apart from her cool and very rocky voice, she is also a sweet and cool girl, with her appearance and hairstyle and her hair color really suits her. I remember at that time I really wanted to have hair like Hayley with her emo style haircut.
The music video is quite interesting because it is set in a barren desert environment, and three people spy on them with binoculars from a house without walls and a roof in the distance. As the video is ending the three people appear and start destroying the band's instruments. The music really makes us feel like we are at a live Paramore concert and watching it while singing along loudly and jumping up and down to the rhythm of the music. and of course I really know the lyrics of this song because I often sing it karaoke at my house or at karaoke places. Hehehe. I'm a little confused here actually with the title Crush Crush Crush here, does it mean to like or to destroy? Wdyt?
Crush Crush Crush
I got a lot to say to you
Yeah, I got a lot to say
I noticed your eyes are always glued to me
Keeping them here and it makes no sense at all
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
Crush, crush, crush
Crush, crush (two, three, four)
Chorus
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one, two, I was just counting on
That never happens, I guess I'm dreaming again
Let's be more than this
If you wanna play it like a game
Well, come on, come on, let's play
'Cause I'd rather waste my life pretending
Than have to forget you for one whole minute
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
Crush, crush, crush
Crush, crush (two, three, four)
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one, two, I was just counting on
That never happens, I guess I'm dreaming again
Let's be more than this now
Rock and roll, baby
Don't you know that we're all alone now?
I need something to sing about
Rock and roll, hey
Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?
I need something to sing about
Rock and roll, hey
Don't you know, baby, we're all alone now?
Give me something to sing about
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one, two, I was just counting on
That never happens, I guess I'm dreaming again
Let's be more than, no
Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone
Just the one, two, I was just counting on
That never happens, I guess I'm dreaming again
Let's be more than
More than this

The second song besides Crush Crush Crush that I like from Paramore is called Decode. and coincidentally this song is one of the soundtracks for the film The Twilight Saga. It's really cool! because I also really like the Twilight films. I think Decode's music really fits the Twilight film. This song is really nice to listen to, the music and the tune, everything is designed to be one perfect rock song.
The rhythm of the drums, the guitar melody that follows this song can take me to another place, I swear! You guys must check this out!
If you like music that is more cheerful but still in the fun rock genre, this is the right song for you, Still Into You!
This song is also almost the same musically as Still Into You, a rock song that is fun and makes us experience more cheerful and happy vibes. The tone is also very pleasant to hear because it is very easy to remember
The last song I recommend to you is entitled The Only Exception, this song is slower to listen to and the romantic meaning in the lyrics is also deep and touching. Hayley the vocalist's voice is really great in this song, I really like it!
I think those are the songs I recommend this time for you, Paramore. Do you like it? I hope you like it guys. Thank you also to everyone who always supports me in writing both in music and outside of music. I hope you all are always healthy and happy.
Have a nice weeked!
