No, de hecho, me he inspirado en lo que ella es como cantante y artista. Que para quienes no la conocen tanto, es talento puro. Dejaré a lo largo y ancho del post clips donde se puede observar lo que su voz puede hacer. La nena puede bailar, coreografiar sus propios vídeos y provocar aplausos, gritos y arrebatos de idolatría pero sobre todo es una músico en todo el ancho de ese significado. Y ésto, precisamente, es lo que vengo a rescatar. El pop es un género que goza de una vanidad, que solo es igualado por quizá lo que podemos ver desde el reggaetón.
However, pop has produced such unquestionably immortal artists as Madonna, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner and even the magnanimous Cher. Yes, we can question some of the marketing hype that pop as a genre commonly employs, but there's quality, there's quality.... Oh, I almost left out the goddess of Lady Gaga...Big mistake, I wouldn't forgive myself as a fan if I did. But back to the huge artist that is Dua Lipa, from my perspective she explains herself as understanding the market perfectly.
For those who don't know, she's been an artist for a lot longer than you've been aware of.... There are music videos of her, when fame had not yet reached her, and the difference between what she applied and what she was doing at the time is remarkable. It doesn't make her any better or worse, it just makes her closer to her audience. Which ultimately is what made her brilliant talent explode and made the girl take off like a rocket into space. She transformed herself meteorically from a girl with a tone more associated with the blues and the vibrato of Joss Stones (remember her?) to the pop queen she is today.
Sin embargo, del pop han surgido artistas tan incuestionablemente inmortales como: Madonna, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner e incluso, la magnánima Cher. Sí, podemos cuestionar algunos trucos de exageración de marketing que emplea comúnmente el pop como género, pero de que hay calidad, hay calidad... Oh, casi dejo afuera a la diosa de Lady Gaga...Grave error, no me perdonaría como fan si así fuese. Pero retomando, la enorme artista que es Dua Lipa, desde mi perspectiva se explica de entender perfectamente el mercado.
Para aquellos que no lo saben, ella es una artista desde hace bastante más tiempo de que se tiene consciencia... Hay vídeos musicales de ella, cuando la fama la había alcanzado todavía, y la diferencia entre lo que aplicó y lo que hacía en su momento es notable. No la hace ni mejor ni peor, sólo la hace más cercana a su audiencia. Que en definitiva es lo que hizo que explotará su brillante talento e hiciera que la chica despegara cual cohete hacia el espacio. Meteóricamente, se transformó de una chica con un tono más asociado al blues y al vibrato de Joss Stones (¿Se acuerda de ella?) que a la reina pop que es hoy.
Did that change make her better or worse? In my opinion, undoubtedly better. The collaborations she has had with producers like Calvin Harris, Snoop Dogg, and the best songwriters within the industry have made her polish what she naturally possessed from her nature as a singer. I could never claim or say that what she as an artist is an "invention" or is "artificial". Quite the contrary, she made a fascinating mix in voice with power and nostalgic tones of yesteryear with the pop vibe and aesthetics we all imagine.
Dua Lipa's voice makes the chills on your skin uncontrollable. And that's only possible when there's talent, beauty, technique and a whole lot of execution. Qualities that only true musicians possess. Music should not be understood as some kind of "black/white", "good/bad" theory, but as what it is; a human, subjective and multi-causal exercise. For some of you, dear readers of HIVE and this community, you will think she is just another artist in the crowd, but for others, you will smile as you agree with me. That's the beauty of being united by and for music, don't you think?

Las colaboraciones que ha tenido con productores como Calvin Harris, Snoop Dogg, y los mejores compositores dentro de la industria la han hecho pulir lo que naturalmente poseía desde su naturaleza como cantante. Jamás podría asegurar o decir que lo que ella como artista es un "invento" o es "artificial". Todo lo contrario, hizo una mezcla fascinante en la voz con poder y tonos nostálgicos de antaño con la vibra y estética del pop que todos nos imaginamos.
La voz de Dua Lipa hace que los escalofríos en tu piel sean incontrolables. Y eso sólo es posible cuando hay talento, belleza, técnica y muchísima ejecución. Cualidades que solo los verdaderos músicos poseen. La música no debería ser entendido como una especie de teoría "blanco/negro", "bueno/malo", sino como lo que es; un ejercicio humano, subjetivo y de múltiples causas. Para algunos de ustedes, queridos lectores de HIVE y de esta comunidad, pensarán que ella es una artista más del montón, pero para otros, sonreirán al estar de acuerdo conmigo. Eso es lo hermoso de estar unidos por y para la música, ¿no lo creen?
I believe that the UK, (country where Dua is originally from) is the birthplace of women with powerful and impactful voices. Amy Winehouse, Adele and Dua Lipa are the Holy Trinity for me. But there's also Lilly Allen, just to give another lesser known example. There is a lot of strength, well-developed talent and authenticity in what we see. Dua Lipa, my friends, is so much more than what we see in music videos, it is the skill, the beauty of her body but the intelligence of her nature well intermingled to be enjoyed by us, by me, without a doubt; by everyone, I am convinced.
Yo creo que el Reino Unido, (país de donde es originalmente Dua) es la cuna de mujeres con voces poderosas e impactantes. Amy Winehouse, Adele y Dua Lipa, son la Santísima Trinidad, para mí. Pero también está Lilly Allen, por sólo dar otro ejemplo menos conocido. Hay mucha fuerza, talento bien desarrollado y autenticidad en lo que vemos. Dua Lipa, amigos míos, es muchísimo más que lo que vemos en los videos musicales, es la habilidad, la belleza de su cuerpo pero la inteligencia de su naturaleza bien entremezcladas para ser disfrutado por nosotros, por mí, sin lugar a dudas; por todos, estoy convencida.
