And yes, I did it! While out of town I visited a music store in the city I am and while trying two basses, one electric - 5 strings one and another acoustic one, I recorded two videos for the challenge! 😺
This is the last part of my participation in the Bass Challenge by Scott's Bass Lessons!
The winner will receive Scott's own Sadowsky NYC Deluxe 4-21 Satin Series bass!
The pieces of the challenge are copyrighted by Scott's Bass Lessons, but I have asked and it is ok to publicly show my videos and thoughts about the songs. Linking the Challenge or the song's path won't work as they are part of the membership of the Academy, so anyone interested can go to the link of their homepage and explore it!
The result is not the same as it would be if I was at home and you won't see any progress relatively with the previous ones, because there was no warm up nor practice for the last days that I am out of town, but at least I had the chance to play on the bass even while away from home, explore some basses and get two more videos!
The first one was with this 5-String Squier Electric Bass:
And the second one with this Sigma Guitars Acoustic 4-String Bass:
This didn't go quiet well and I ended up playing only part of the piece and cutting it off early, because it was my first contact with an acoustic one and I got a little embarrassed that it didn't go smoothly (also it was a 4-string and I am used to my 5-string all this time).
But I tried it on the first place because I really want to buy one sometime as soon as I can and learn to play on it, so it was a great chance for a first approach and I am happy to share it with you!
The goals remain the same this time! 😃
