Hace unas semanas comencé a ver el documental de Celine Dion en Prime Video, pero por una y otra razón, no terminaba de verlo, sin embargo lo hice, para así también despegar la mente de todo lo que sucede y realmente puedo decir que más que una artista y cantante exitosa y reconocida, es una gran mujer, una guerrera.
A veces, para no decir siempre, nos es facil juzgar si miramos desde afuera, si no somos quienes están en escenario. Somos capaces de exigir y peor aún criticar a quienes se suben en el para hacer lo que más aman, lo que les apasiona y darlo a su público, ese público que muchas veces también decimos ser, porque incluso a nuestros ídolos somos capaces de criticar duramente. Pero muy pocos, se preguntan, qué estará pasando allá arriba o detrás del escenario.
Como una persona que ha estado sobre las tablas puedo dar fe y decir que subirse a un escenario para darle algo a un público conlleva una gran responsabilidad. Uno debe prepararse, ensayar horas y horas, procurar no enfermarse y ensayar mucho, pero aún así rogar que nada salga mal. El espectador solo ve el show, pero detrás de show hay días e incluso meses de preparación y toda una gran historia, historias que muchas veces no son contadas.

A few weeks ago I started to watch Celine Dion's documentary on Prime Video, but for one reason or another, I didn't finish watching it, but I did, in order to take my mind off everything that is going on and I can truly say that more than a successful and recognised artist and singer, she is a great woman, a warrior.
Sometimes, if not always, it is easy for us to judge if we look from the outside, if we are not the ones on stage. We are capable of demanding and even worse of criticising those who get up on stage to do what they love the most, what they are passionate about and give it to their public, the public that we often claim to be, because even our idols are capable of criticising harshly. But very few ask themselves what is going on up there or behind the stage.
As a person who has been on stage I can attest and say that getting on stage to give something to an audience carries a great responsibility. You have to prepare, rehearse for hours and hours, try not to get sick and rehearse a lot, but still pray that nothing goes wrong. The spectator only sees the show, but behind the show there are days and even months of preparation and a whole big story, stories that often go untold.
"Céline Dion", tiene una voz majestuosa, muchos recordamos el tema del Titanic: "My Heart Will Go On", pero a través de ese documental puedes conocer su vida, sus miedos, su pasión y su deseo de volver al escenario, el cual logró hacerlo realidad recientemente en Las Olimpiadas de París y luego de ver el documental, verla en el escenario tiene mucho más valor.
Ella se abre a través de ese espacio a contar sobre su enfermedad (Síndrome de la Persona Rígida), a decir la verdad y me parece que fue un acto muy liberador de su parte y que merecían saber sus fanáticos. Nos muestra una Celine que no solo es firme, fuerte y muy ordena en todo lo que hace, si no también su lado frágil, su lado débil, su armario, sus recuerdos y sus sentimientos. Y es que quién no ha sentido que está solo al escuchar "All By Myself" (Sola otra vez), aún cuando estamos acompañados y es que su voz transmite mucho la esencia de sus sentimientos y por eso logra conectar con su público.
Es interesante conocer al artista más allá del escenario y en especial no juzgar un show, un show que muchas veces solo debe continuar, aún cuando eso conlleve enormes sacrificios.
