Magandang buhay!
Okay, it's Tuesday, and we know what it means, right? It's TTT, of course! So, without much rambling, here are my chosen three for the day, all from Jax, or Jacqueline Cole Miskanic Gregg, an American singer-songwriter who, according to her bio, started singing when she was very young (5 years old).
I encountered some of her songs many moons ago, and I liked them, even saved 2 on my draft, which now got the chance to be shared.
Jax - Like My Father

A few lines of this tune made me think the singer's a Daddy's girl,
🎶I need a man who loves me like my father loves my mom🎶
It's just my assumption anyway. But yes, I love and hate how her voice goes from soft to loud in some parts of her song. It's nice and irritating at the same time, lol! Jax released this single in 2021. It reached #33 in the US Adult Contemporary charts.
And this next tune kinda confirms what I thought😁 There is no doubt this is meant for his father (I could be wrong though). Let's nibble on the lyrics and maybe enjoy the melody.
Jax - Too Young To Be Old

Released in 2024 for her album Dear Joe, this Alt-Pop's lyrics echo what most of us fear: watching someone we care about grow old and losing them at some point. It's a tough thing, even just thinking about it makes my heart ache. But yes, she sings it quite nicely.
And here's the last tune, its lyrics kinda comedic. I like how she crafted a story out of famous Disney characters.
Jax - Cinderella Snapped

Rapping some, then goes bam! Her voice goes loud (strong), which I find fun to listen to (when I'm in my crazy punky mood).
And with that ends Jax's vibes. Although I like her and love pop and its subgenres, her songs are not my type (they're forgettable), so they wouldn't be on my playlist for long.
(PS. I hope she didn't annoy anyone around here, lol!)
