Those who know me should not be surprised by the artist whose music I come to share today, since I have never hidden that I am a great fan of the Colombian Shakira since her beginnings. This woman has many commercial hits worldwide in both English and Spanish, but with such an extensive career, more than 31 years since her first album, there are too many songs that are unknown to music lovers who have not necessarily bought his albumscomplete. Today we want to highlight 3 of those Shakira songs that you might surely like as much as I do 😘

Quienes me conocen no deben sorprenderse por la artista de la cual vengo a compartir música hoy, ya que nunca he ocultado que soy un gran seguidor de la colombiana Shakira desde sus inicios. Esta mujer tiene muchos éxitos comerciales a nivel mundial tanto en inglés como en español, pero con una carrera tan extensa, de más de 31 años desde su primer disco, hay demasiadas canciones que son desconocidas para los amantes de la música que no necesariamente han comprado sus álbumes completos. Hoy quiere destacar 3 de esas canciones de Shakira que seguro podrían gustarte tanto como a mí 😘
1. Illegal (Ilegal)
If there is one music that fills me with peace whenever it is played, it is Andean music, especially Peruvian folklore, where the charango and the quena stand out. The first song I bring you is called Vírgenes del Sol, a composition by Jorge Bravo de Rueda from the beginning of the 20th century, but I confess that I did not know this version by Soprano Pura Alcántara. I don't need wind instruments here, she has enough treble to imitate the sweet sound of the flutes, which is why I couldn't cover this work of art alone, I hope to find musical friends to perform it one day, but in the meantime I will listen to this version when I need some peaceful music in the house 🙏
Esta primera canción se llama Illegal. Quizás no sea tan desconocida ya que fue un sencillo promocional del álbum Oral Fixation en 2007, pero pasó desapercibida y bajo la sombra del arrollador éxito de Hips Don't Lie junto a Wyclef Jean que no permitió que otras canciones del álbum fueran conocidas. Aquí la acompaña en la guitarra el gran Carlos Santana y la letra de la canción es desgarradora, nos indica que debería ser ilegal romper un corazón, y yo pienso igual 😬 El video musical tampoco fue muy popular, pero es uno de los más románticos y tristes en toda la carrera de Shaki.
2. Spy (Espía)
Precisely speaking of Wyclef Jean and Shakira, I tell you that not only do they share the international mega hit Hips Don't Lie, it has a couple of other songs. One called King and Queen from 2007 from his album Carnival Vol.2 and this other great piece of music from 2009 included on Shakira's She Wolf album. Spy is a very sensual pop-dance song that could easily become a very successful single. The sound of the trumpet is captivating and gives the sexy touch that accompanies the lyrics of the song. In 2010 the promotion of the album was low, since an album in Spanish was released, but it would surely have been one of the favorites of the album.
Precisamente hablando de Wyclef Jean y Shakira, les cuento que no solo comparten el mega éxito internacional Hips Don't Lie, tiene un par de canciones más. Una llamada King and Queen de 2007 del disco Carnival Vol.2 de él y esta otra gran pieza musical de 2009 incluida en el album She Wolf de Shakira. Spy es una canción muy sensual de genero pop-dance que fácilmente pudo convertirse en un sencillo muy exitoso. El sonido de la trompeta es cautivador y le da el toque sexy que acompaña a la letra de la canción. En 2010 la promoción del álbum bajo, ya que se lanzó un disco en español, pero seguramente habría sido una de las favoritas del disco.
3. Amarillo (Yellow)

My third song this Tuesday is called Amarillo and it is one of the best from their latest album El Dorado, where reggaeton stood out as the main genre of the album, but this gem was hidden in the middle of the album that reminded us of Shakira, rocker and 90s pop goddess. It is a beautiful song, full of many colors and very personal. Many of us long for another Shakira album in this format. Mi tercera canción de este martes se llama Amarillo y es una de las mejores de su último disco El Dorado, donde resaltó el reggaeton como género principal del disco, pero venía escondida esta joya a mitad de álbum que nos recordaba a la Shakira, rockera y diosa del pop de los 90. Es una canción hermosa, llena de muchos colores y muy personal. Muchos anhelamos otro disco de Shakira en este formato.
