Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday! A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all the participants recommend music to each other. These days I've been traveling a lot between my two cities, Caracas and Maracay, and anyone who knows me knows that music is essential for these road trips. I usually listen to very upbeat music so I don't fall asleep 😅, but among those random songs, one of my favorites by Luis Fonsi started playing, so it was inevitable for me to connect with those ballads with deep lyrics that made me very happy for years, and yes, these days I'm listening to Fonsi's old repertoire 1000%. These are my favorite ballads:

¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Estos días he viajado mucho entre mis dos ciudades, Caracas y Maracay, y quien me conoce sabe que la música es primordial para estas aventuras en carretera. Generalmente escucho música muy alegre para no quedarme dormido 😅 pero entre esas canciones aleatorias comenzó a sonar una de mis preferidas de Luis Fonsi, así que fue inevitable para mí conectar con esas baladas de letras profundas que por años me hicieron muy feliz, y sí, justo estos días tengo el repertorio antiguo de Fonsi al 1000%. Estas son mis baladas preferidas:

1. Imagíname Sin Ti

This was the first song I heard by Fonsi, and although Imagíname Sin Ti is not from his first album in 1998, but rather from his second album Eterno in 2000, I think many of us in Latin America became familiar with him through this powerful ballad. This song is pure love with a very romantic sound, perfect for guys who want to sing love songs. At the time, I didn't like the music video, although I did like the Venezuelan actress who appears in it, but over time and with my love for nature, I have grown to love the Venezuelan landscapes that appear in it, as it shows the best of our country. This song is a classic, although it's not as well known as some of Luis' other ballads. Still, if you don't know it, I recommend you listen to it and make it one of your favorite songs.

Esta fue la primera canción que conocí de Fonsi, y aunque Imagíname Sin Ti no pertenece a su primera álbum de 1998, sino a su segundo álbum Eterno del año 2000, creo que muchos en Latinoamérica nos familiarizamos con él con esta poderosa baladas. Esta canción es amor puro y con un sonido muy romántico, perfecta para los chicos que queremos cantar canciones de amor. En su momento no me agradó el video musical, aunque sí la actriz venezolana que aparece ahí, pero con el tiempo y con mi amor por la naturaleza le he tomado más cariño a los paisajes venezolanos que ahí aparecen, y es que muestra lo mejor de nuestro país. Esta canción es un clásico, aunque no suenan tanto como otras baladas de Luis, aún así, si no la conoces recomiendo que la oigas y la vuelvas parte de tus canciones preferidas.

2. Nada Es Para Siempre

This beautiful and sad song talks about how we have to make the most of today, even the time we have to love each other, because nothing lasts forever. I had a very strong connection with it, not so much in 2005 when it was released, but many years later when I began to value time and life more. During my worst family crisis, when adversity hit us hard, I had the opportunity to sing it to my dad, my mom, and my brother, holding hands in the hospital, even though I didn't yet know that death was lurking in the distance. It's a powerful song, one that makes you reflect on how we have to love each other today, in case there is no tomorrow. I recommend you keep it in mind, even though it has a very sad atmosphere...

Esta hermosa y triste canción habla de que tenemos que aprovechar el tiempo hoy, incluso el tiempo que tenemos para amarnos, porque nada es para siempre. Tuve una conexión muy importante con la misma, y no tanto en el 2005 cuando se estrenó, sino muchos años después cuando he comenzado a valorar más el tiempo y la vida. En mi peor momento familiar, cuando la adversidad nos golpeó fuerte tuve la oportunidad de cantársela a mi papá, mi mamá y mi hermano, tomados de la mano en el hospital, y eso que aún no sabía que hasta la muerte nos asechaba en la distancia. Es una canción poderosa, para reflexionar, tenemos que amarnos hoy, por si no hay mañana. Se las recomiendo para que la tengan presente, aunque tiene una atmósfera muy triste...

3. No Me Doy Por Vencido

This is the most recent of the three ballads I recommend today, and it dates back to 2008 😅 but before this singer turned to reggaeton, I consider him to have been one of the best ballad singers in the Spanish repertoire. No Me Doy Por Vencido was also a huge hit, and although I consider it a little more pop and upbeat than the others, it still has dreamy lyrics and a romantic rhythm. This song was about myself, a boy who fell in love over and over again, but who remained silent, waiting for his moment and loving in silence without giving up. At the time, I didn't know that my happy ending would come 10 years later, and even so, when I was falling in love with my wife, this song was very present in my mind. When she slept in my arms while we were traveling to Maracay, I listened to it and knew that I would not give up on her. You have to have this music in your playlists ❤️

Esta es la más reciente de las tres baladas que les recomiendo hoy, y eso que data del año 2008 😅 pero es que antes de que este cantante hiciera reggaetón considero que era de los mejores baladistas del repertorio en español. No Me Doy Por Vencido además fue un mega éxito, y aunque considero que es un poco más pop y alegre que las demás, sigue teniendo una lírica de ensueño y ritmo romántico. Esta canción hablaba de mí mismo, un muchacho que se enamoraba una y otra vez, pero que se quedaba callado, esperando su momento y amando en silencio sin darse por vencido. En su momento no sabía que mi final feliz llegaría 10 años después, y aún así cuando estaba enamorando a mi esposa esta canción la tenía muy presente, cuando dormía en mis brazos mientras viajábamos a Maracay la escuchaba y sabía que no me daría por vencido respecto a ella. Tienen que tener esta música entre sus playlists ❤️

La Ñapa

Despacito is not a ballad, but it is Luis Fonsi's most popular song. A few years ago, I recorded a very calm version, without the part that belongs to Daddy Yankee, and I loved it. By removing certain words and making the rhythm even slower, it easily becomes another ballad, so I leave you with this humble cover to remember it by. Despacito no es una balada, pero es la canción más popular de Luis Fonsi. Hace unos años gravé una versión muy tranquila, sin la parte que pertenece a Daddy Yankee, y me encantó. Sacando ciertas palabras y haciendo el ritmo aún más despacito fácilmente es una balada más, así que les dejo este humilde cover para recordarlo.
