On this short video I'm playing my guitar through a setup I build on VCV rack 2, using multitap delay, granular synthesis and other Fx such as reverb, flanger and overdrive.
VCV rack 2 it's not meant for guitar but handles great for creating this types of FXs.
I used the multitap delay, which is like a normal delay but you can edit each repetition of the delay individually, on my video this can be notice when the delay plays back the notes that I played but on a different octave.
by the other hand, Granular synthesis is some kind of advanced computacional synthesis technique, known for creating rare new sounds from taking an audio sample and splitting it into micro samples (from 1 to 100ms length) but is also found on many other fields of digital audio science.
By example, Have you ever stretch up or down an audio file with elastique plugins?, or have some kind of shimmer reverb FX? (i use it this way). if so, you have already used granular synthesis because this technique is what many digital audio workstations(DAW) and FX units manufacturers are using in order to make some of its audio processing features work the strange way they do.

En este video corto, estoy tocando guitarra a través de un setup que hice en el VCV rack 2, usando multitap delay, síntesis granular y otros efectos como reverb, flanger y overdrive.
VCV rack 2 no está diseñado para pasarle una guitarra, pero se maneja muy bien para crear este tipo de efectos.
Usé el multitap delay, es como un delay normal pero se puede editar cada repetición del delay individualmente, en mi video esto se puede notar cuando el delay reproduce las notas que ya toqué pero en una octava diferente.
Por otro lado, la síntesis granular es una técnica avanzada de síntesis computacional, conocida por crear sonidos raros y completamente nuevos. funciona tomando una muestra de audio y dividiéndola en micromuestras (de 1 a 100 ms de longitud), esta tenica también se encuentra en muchos otros campos de la ciencia del audio digital.
